The hotel is well located to explore the centre of the town on foot. Paid parking is available but we chose to save €15 and found a street parking spot nearby. It is primarily a business hotel, which has its advantages and disadvantages. We booked a standard room at what we considered was an acceptable rate, and were upgraded to a suite: not mentioned at check in, just a surprise on opening the door! Extremely comfortable and well appointed room and sitting area, with all the little extras you might expect in a hotel of this quality. We ate in the hotel and I will write a separate restaurant review.
Our first time in an Abba hotel There was a special offer for the restaurant, 3 courses and bottle got wine for two people for 20 euros each - has to be said the food was fantastic - amazing bargain, for me only gripe is that the portions are probably too large - i know, what a silly thing to say, but my partner had the ravioli starter, and it was the size of a main ! Was one the best meals i had on our trip, and the tiramisu ! excellent ! We sat outside and enjoyed watching the world go by over dinner and a bottle of wine We enjoyed the pool, however, they really need to fix the tiles at the bottom, there are so many tiles missing and broken at the bottom it all looked a but unsafe, i even noticed moss/ plants growing on the bottom I’d forgotten during the pandemic that some hotels like to play music as you eat breakfast , this is one of them, we were treated to the moanful classics My Sweet Lord, The Weight, The Boxer, You’re So Vain ….. Great breakfast, good selection on offer ! You also get for your listening pleasure music from played from speakers outside your hotel room, thankfully you are free from music in the lifts, phew ! As we were leaving we were treated to She’s Leaving Home in the car park… who ever has chosen the playlists needs to cheer up ! Overall, a great introduction to a Abba hotel, we even changed our travel plans to stay in another Abba hotel the next night…
A well located hotel, it’s quite new so very light and refreshing. We had a nice well appointed room with comfortable bed and pillows. There were a couple of negatives. The two waiters working in the bar/coffee shop showed no empathy to the guests, the one in the blue suite looked very unhappy. Also we cannot understand why such a lovely pool doesn’t open till 10am. What about a pre breakfast swim?
This is a relatively modern hotel, close to the city centre: about 10 minutes on foot, depending...The rooms are well appointed, bathrooms fine, and the common areas full of light and accommodating. We found free street parking quite easily. The only thing that was not up to scratch was the breakfast. It was OK, but similar establishments do better, with more on offer and less watery coffee.
Staying at the ABBA was nice. The pool was great in the heat and we generally enjoyed our stay. Staff seemed not as friendly as I’d expect, with the exception of the lady who checked us out who was super friendly and helped us with our words. Hotel was pretty clean and tidy and is well situated. Like I said just average nothing to write home about but a good choice if you’re in Huesca.
