This is a well maintained property located up hill from the Campo San Francisco within walking distance of the old town although the return stroll is uphill! The rooms are comfortable, quiet, and more than adequate. The breakfast had everything you would wish for and done nicely.

I have reviewed this hotel before. i said I would go back and I have. Twice. It is particularly convenient for visitors to the University, situated on the SW side of the city centre, but giving good walking access to everywhere in this small but delightful city. As previously, the rooms are clean, comfortable and well provided. Free WiFi is...

Was initially disappointed that we seemed to be far from old town Oviedo and the hotel lacked history, but it served its purpose of a clean and comfortable room. The walk to old town was straight forward and easy and so the location worked. There were a number of cafes and restaurants nearby and the large Plaza was lovely especially...

Not as central as other hotels. Tiny elevators - maybe 4 people w/o luggage Poor breakfast - no fruit selection, one double coffee machine, lesser selections from other hotels. Very slow internet. Nice rooms, great beads, showers worked. We were on the sixth floor so one had a great view of the city. Across from the school of science A/C...

I stayed here for 3 days. The main reason to choose Ramiro I was its location close to the auditorium where a congress I was attending was held. It is also close to the old town. Rooms and furniture are old and tired, but the staff was kind and attentive. We called room service two nights and the food was...

Great location, near the University and downtown. Wear and tear are showing in this hotel, and the air conditioning situation is really lacking. The thermostats in the rooms do not work. You cannot control the temperature in your room; you must ask the staff to do it. Breakfast was weak, but included.

Two weeks ago we stayed at the Ramiro I for a conference that my husband was attending. The hotel belongs to the Ayes Hotel group. We were extremely satisfied with the overall quality of the hotel, including the room, breakfast, lunches, and customer services. In addition, we were able to walk to the old center, the theater where we attended...

This medium-sized hotel is very conveniently situated for visitors to Oviedo university and for the historic centre of town, but a little less convenient for the station and its nearby shopping areas (2km). It is now a hotel in the Ayre chain. I had stayed here previously, so I knew what the hotel was like. It is very comfortable and...

“Ask for rooms at higher levels or on the back of hotel. We stayed on the third floor facing the main room and it was fine.”

“Rooms on the street side, though potentially noiser, are more likely to be of consistent size. Previoulsy I had a super large room in the 'inside' (with no view) but on that side there may be more variablity in size.”
