This is a well located hotel, tucked away near the Jardines de Albia and only five minutes walk from the river. There is a bus from the airport every 30 minutes into Bilbao which has a stop at Plaza Moyua from where it is a ten minute walk to the hotel. Tickets on the airport bus are a very reasonable...

Went there for 3 nights, the rooms are spacious (huge bed) and comfortable, very helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast, great location. The only reason I don't give 5 stars it's because of the sleep quality, I'm not sure if it was the noise, or the too soft mattress (maybe both), everything else was perfect.

Positives: €1.45 to get from the airport to the city centre Friendly and Helpful Staff Close to all shops, bars, underground etc Reasonably priced drinks in the bar Travel is cheap - we went on the underground to Getxo and the cost was cheap. I think it was around €6 return trip Negatives: MEals are expensive in the hotel -...

Dear John, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We work hard on providing a good value for money at the hotel as well as in our bar, restaurant, and of course a good breakfast, which official price is currently 16€ per person. However should you choose to book it for every morning, at time of your...

Good location, all place of interest and shopping area are within 5 to 10 minutes walk away. Plenty of restaurants nearby, all within walking distance. Hotel staffs are friendly & very help, especially Mr. Diego & Miss. Pilar. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Stayed here one night prior to getting the ferry back to England. Just the job. Clean, neat, centrally located, shops and tapas bars walkable - very helpful concierge who recommended a lovely restaurant. Very reasonable cost - wished we could have stayed a bit longer as the city has so much to offer. One flag - beware if travelling by...

Dear Richard, Thank you very much for taking the time to write about your stay in our hotel. We're glad that you enjoyed the hotel and its location: central. With the city centre location comes the lack of space and the lack of car park area. We wish we could make it bigger! There is demand for it :) In...

Centrally located (only €1.45 bus ride from the airport then a 5 minute walk). Our first room proved to be noisy due to the nightclub opposite but we were moved immediately when we told the Front Desk Staff. Breakfast was of a high standard every day. Hotel bar is remarkably cheap! Special mention must go to Diego and his two...

Easy and quick check in, great comfortable room. Shower and bathroom spotless. Warm and free tea and coffee. Within walking distance of most of the city and the river walk. Bilbao is such a great city for walking, shopping and culture. This hotel is perfect for getting everywhere. Nice little bar, helpful staff. Super super breakfast, fresh and good choice !...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The location of the Mercure Bilbao Jardines de Albia is extremely central: only 500m away from the Guggenheim, the main shopping street, el Corte Ingles, the restaurants and tapas bars. It is for real the best located hotel downtown Bilbao. We are currently under refurbishment, and we are careful not to discomfort our guests and never work early morning, late nights. We hope to be finished by March 2016. However we already have our newly refurbished rooms at the guest's disposal. Please feel free to contact us for any information.
