No public transport after 20 p.m. No shops or small markets near. No city life, no possibility to walk to the city. The hotel is up on the hill. The view is nice but all the tourists are coming up by funicular during the day.

Spent 3 nights here. This is a very nice hotel with views that are incredible. The room was on the smaller size but certainly adequate and clean. One observation is that the walls are very thin and our neighbors conversations sounded as if they were in our room. We took the Funicular down the hill and walked to the old...

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in May. The views from the hotel are breathtaking. I cannot put into words how stunning it is looking down into San Sebastián from the hotel. We had sea/mountain views from our room too. The hotel is beautifully renovated in the restaurant, bar, lobby, and other communal areas. I would say around half...

i stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. the views from the hotel are spectacular but you don't need to stay there to see that as you just need to take the funicular. First of all, the hotel is far from the town centre so i did loads of walking but you have to either have a car to get...

Stayed in San Sebastian for 3 days and we got this hotel as all of the other hotels were fully booked already. Hotel was clean, small and a old. Other than that, the views were just spectacular overlooking San Sebastian. However, downside is that the hotel is 10min away from the city so you would really need to take a...

Very nice hotel with and excellent view of the lagoon and the beaches. You automatically get access to the carousel and monte I Fueki without paying for the entry fee or the parking fee. The amenities are scarce and the food is not so good but definitely worth staying here.

We arrived in San Sebastian with high hopes for this hotel atop a hill with stunning views. While we are not disappointed with the view, the service and vibe at the hotel are below standard. The desk staff are unfriendly and unwilling to help. The lobby is infrequently cleaned, empty glasses stand around for hours. There is no music in...

As you will see, I have reviewed this hotel before, and was generally very positive. During late March/early April I spent 5 nights here, making it my fourth trip to Hotel Monte Igueldo in as many years. Firstly the positives: The refurbishment is very good - the rooms have been updated to a high standard and look impressive. The quality...

I get no pleasure from writing this review. Picture this, we booked into a 4 star hotel !!! Oscars committee must have given them that award. Steps to the front door were covered in dust thick with it, landed at front desk and when I say desk I mean desk as in picnic, tells us that at 2 30 our...

To Trip Advisor The following is the text of an email we sent to the hotel manager on September 12, 2016. To note, no response was ever received, even though we asked at checkout. Moreover, a copy of this email was also sent to customer services at the Accor group. They received, and acknowledged receipt with a reference number, but...
