Es Princep is the best hotel my friend and I have ever stayed in. The reason we state this is due to the staff mainly. Their care and consideration of the guests is like nothing we have experience previously in other hotels. The location is superb and we were able to walk to many stunning restaurants in the old town only 8/10 mins away. The spa was small but perfectly formed and wonderful to use. The roof terrace is a stunning location to sit and watch the world go by. The carparking with concierge service was again a wonderful service that made all the difference to us. The "service my room" button in the room was excellent. It felt like we had a personal housekeeping service. We were given a complimentary upgrade which was received with gratitude. The room was bright, comfortable and well designed, leaving you not wanting for anything. We have been fortunate to stay in 5 star hotels many times over the years but that 5 star service has diminished in our opinion especially since Covid where costs have been cut. Es Princep was truly magnificent in every way and we cannot wait to return hopefully in June.

I had a fabulous stay at Es Princep. I took the A1 airport bus to Porta del Camp. A 15 minute journey for €5. Then it was a 3 minute walk to the hotel. On arrival I was warmly welcomed and offered a drink before being shown to my room.
The room was beautiful with the quietest air con ever. Breakfast is a buffet style with additional cooked options of eggs, pancakes etc Thank you so much to the lovely Alicia who presented me with coffee, orange juice and sparkling water within minutes of my arrival each morning. Hugo was also very warm and professional.
There is a rooftop bar area with loungers. I ate up there at the restaurant with the most amazing view & sunsets. The food was so delicious that I decided to book for the next night. The very charming Pau then made the same table available to me every night.
Sonia was very kind and took time to chat each evening. Ale (Alexandra?) is an absolute delight. She is currently a trainee. Ale went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy and had everything I needed.
I spent an extremely enjoyable 9 nights here. The location is perfect to stroll around Palma centre.
I would very much like to return next year. However I will have to learn some decent Spanish. Sr. Perez seemed to be exasperated with my very limited vocabulary.
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location with outstanding staff.

We stayed for 5 nights at Es Princep. We arrived before check in and were warmly greeted and offered a welcome drink while waiting for the room. We were invited to enjoy this on the rooftop and told we would be notified when our room was ready. The rooftop itself is stunning with beautiful views over old town Palma and the sea. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails over the next couple of hours while waiting however, when it got to 3pm, we had not yet been notified our room was ready and we feel we may have been forgotten. My partner had to ask around 3.15pm if the room was ready which the staff had to double check with reception. Within 10 minutes we were told it was ready and were bought the keys.
The hotel lobby and communal areas felt spotlessly clean at all times however when we entered the room we were a little let down by the general cleanliness and standard. There were a couple of long curly hairs around the toilet floor and when we had a shower two of our towels were quite noticeably stained. This is something my partner raised at reception and we were told would be passed on to the manager and the floors/towels would be checked. Upon returning to the room, more hairs were found on the floor and there was no further acknowledgment or check in of our issue raised. The chair in the room was also stained and some of the fixtures were loose or falling apart. These issues whilst minor, should not be expected for a 5 star hotel.
We both enjoyed massages in the spa. The spa area was spotlessly clean and the treatments were very good. The spa itself was fairly small but perfect for chilling out pre treatment.
The cocktails we had by the pool were good and the service was adequate. We noticed there were multiple sun loungers that were wobbly and creaking whilst up there and one in fact broke with another guest on it. This could have been dangerous and again not something you would expect from a 5 star property.
All round Es Princep is a lovely building in a great location no more than 10 minutes from central Palma and has the potential to be amazing. Unfortunately we would not return to this hotel as we felt the price wasn’t reflected in our experience.
UPDATE - since leaving this review the hotel manager has reached out with genuine concern regarding our experience and wanted to put things right. This has validated the customer service related reviews the hotel has received. As well as an element of compensation, a direct contact was provided and a warm invite to give the hotel another chance. We feel we were unfortunately just unlucky on our stay and we would be willing to give this beautiful hotel another go.

We booked Es Princep for one night for our last day in Palma due to a cheap deal on Booking.com. It had exceeded all our expectations. We were offered a free room upgrade. The staff was fantastic. At the reception we were helped very easily with the luggage and our rental car was driven by the staff immediately to the garage. We were able to enjoy the stay from the first minute and spent a few sunny hours on the wonderful roof top bar. Breakfast the next morning was very versatile and the quality of the food was outstanding. Until our departure at 13:30 to the airport we could still enjoy all the services at the hotel. We are already looking forward to a next time.

Our stay in Es Princep was lovely beyond expectations. The personnel was hospitable and kind in an authentic way and we felt really pampered, a wonderful 5 star boutique hotel experience! They were attentive to our needs without being overwhelming, have accomodated all our requests, we felt truly welcomed there and spoiled. The location is central within walking distance from the centre, the room was impecable (amazingly comfortable pillows and mattress), breakfast was amazing (totally recommend it) and the toiletries were of high quality. I would love to go back as soon as possible, it was the best stay in a hotel for me so far. We stayed at the hotel for four days and every morning we enjoyed having our breakfast. It was always fresh and so much to choose and the staff made you always feel welcomed. The rooms was big enough and they always made sure the rooms were clean and left us candies every day. What a touch !! Location is perfect and we never had any complaints. Great place !

We stayed at Es Princep for our honeymoon and were treated like absolute royalty. Not only were the staff so kind and always with a smile, they were also helpful and always looking for ways to accommodate us. When we asked for recommendations in the area, they gave amazing advice, and when we got locked out of our room, they were there to help us immediately. Not only was the staff wonderful, but it is such a gorgeous and well maintained hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and very clean. The pool and rooftop are fantastic - we spent so much time there and were really able to relax, enjoy ourselves, and the view. Plus, the food was awesome. While we did not eat at Zaranda, we had breakfast each morning, and lunch one day on the roof and all meals were delicious, with plenty of options, and service was, of course, great. I was initially concerned that the location was too far from the center of Palma, but that's not the case at all. Everything you need is in close enough walking distance and being off the beaten track a bit really allowed us to remove ourselves from the hustle and bustle. If you're even considering Es Princep, definitely book it, you won't regret it!

We never had problems with noise whilst in the room... maybe most guest at the time were decent and acted 'normal'. What we did find is heavy drinking by the pool as folks come from Europe for a quick short stop seeking sun and relaxation. Hope your experience was good. The location is great!
