Some very small points:
- Rooms are smaller than I’d expected
- Drinks at dinner at in wine glasses rather than tumblers/pints
- There are some unusual charges (e.g pool towels)
- There is some building work going on across the road from the hotel. Whilst not “major” there was machinery noise during the day. According to the signs it was due to be completed in May 2024, so this is maybe why I wasn’t made aware of this beforehand.
Good points-
It's clean and modern. It has a lovely large pool, with many entrances, including roman style steps and a pool hoist for disabled travellers. Plenty sunbeds. Receptionists were very helpful. Good choice of food , including at the pool bars, great to see salads and other alternatives to burger and chips.
Good facilities in hotel, entertainment most evenings, rooms were nice and air con worked really well and quietly. Day time sctivities and entertainment program. Fridge in room. Nice multicultural vibe around hotel with ppl from many different European type countries.
Free shuttle bus to palma nova.
Bad points-
Most of pool is very deep *2metres. Though there is a separate kids pool.
Entertainment was all very similar and of medium standard.
It's up a big hill. The nearest town area at bottom is limited to just a few bars and restaurants. Beach there at cala major is small and very packed. Town there is fairly small if you're used to large holiday resorts like alcudia in the north.
Shuttle bus stops running to palma nova around 6.30pm so if you want a bigger evening out, you'll be paying approx 20 euros each way for a taxi.
We booked an accessible room due to mobility issues. The hotel generally has given some thought to mobility issues which is great, but the room lacked thought entirely. Big walk in shower, but no grab rails, no shower seat and a very slippery floor with water that didn't drain well and a soaking wet floor everywhere. Nowhere to put washbag or clothes, eg, no hooks, no shelves or anything.
Dinner service was your typical canteen/buffet help yourself, but drinks were not and there was only 1 person authorised to take drinks orders for the whole restaurant so we waited long after eating a few times before getting a drink. Water in the restaurant gave us all bad belly. Juices were typically just flavoured sugar water.
No pool table and ping pong table was hidden round back where noone wanted to play it.
I've tried to give an honest and balanced good versus bad review. Hope this helps others.

Then hotel is out of the way and up a very steep hill but we had a hire car for 2 days, made use of the free shuttle bus to Palma nova and used local buses to get around, so we didn’t feel tied to the location. There’s a bus stop just up the road that goes into Palma, it cost 2 euros per adult and only took 20 minutes, it was really easy. I would say the rooms are on the smaller side, we had a double bed and travel cot in our room, which meant there wasn’t space for a sofa, so we felt a little restricted on space but it didn’t effect our holiday at all just something to bare in mind.

This hotel is lovely with only a couple of minor issues...
We arrived early hours of the morning but the check in process was quick and easy. Some of the Receptionists spoke better English than others but all in all very friendly and helpful. On arrival you have to pay tourist tax and this cost approx €66 for the 10 nights - after day 8 you pay a slightly reduced price. You also have to pay to use the safe in the room if you want to use it. Everything has to be paid for upfront and you can not run up a bill to pay at the end of your stay - they accept cash or card.
Our room (802) was kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping team. Our room overlooked the mountains and this was lovely and quiet. You can pay extra for a sea or pool view but in my opinion this is not needed as the mountain view is beautiful. The only criticism I have is that there was not quiet enough storage space as there are no drawers but this is only a minor problem. Our room (802) had the sun on the balcony late afternoon / early evening so perfect for that drink on the balcony!
The food in the restaurant was amazing (I'm dreading the scales!!). We stayed half board so only had breakfast and dinner but the choices for both of these were vast and even as a fussy eater I found food easy to choose. The drinks for those staying half board are reasonably priced. The staff were really helpful offering a friendly and efficient service. My only criticism would be that they do not put allergens on the food signs but we fed this back to the hotel.
The pool and gardens were lovely with lots of shade as it can get very hot around the pool. Again, it was kept very clean.
The entertainment was average to be honest and not really our thing. Sadly the entertainment team were very unengaging so pretty poor so didn't always know what was going on. Not a big deal to us but sad too see some of the activities not being fully utilised.
Location wise, be warned its on the top of a hill so steep slopes or several (100) steps to get back if you want to go to the town. There is a bus stop a short walk from front door of hotel to catch buses into Palma (€2pp each way). If you are fit the Caves Of Genova are about 15mins walk away (or you could catch a bus) and worth a visit.
All in all a really lovely hotel and we would consider going back.
The location is not great and there isn’t much to do around the hotel although the hotel does offer a free bus to palma nova and you can catch a different bus into palma for 2 euros.
We would not return to this hotel.

Check in was very efficient, given a wrist band to indicate I was on B&B
My room on the 8th floor had lovely views over the entire bay of Palma.
There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, and there were no English or American channels on the TV until the last day of my holiday.
On the first night I decided to have dinner in the hotel, I asked the waiter to charge it to my room but they insisted on cash payment! 22 Euros for a mediocre dinner.
I ate out after that experience, walking down the 89 steep steps to the main street where there are a host of excellent, inexpensive restaurants and a supermarket.
Walking back up the 89 steps to the hotel with shopping was quite arduous.
The hotel offered a free courtesy bus to Palma Nova which was useful.
There was a local bus stop where I could get to Palma centre for 2 euros
From Palma you can catch a bus anywhere on the island for 2-5 euros.
In summary, the Belvedere was OK apart from the steep steps (not for the elderly or disabled) and having to pay cash if you choose to dine there.
The only thing I didn't like was the night bar, which was far from a bar atmosphere and the atmosphere there was like that of a train station, the staff couldn't keep up, and also dinner at a local restaurant, where there was a rich banquet, but incredible noise.

Hotel was clean and on arrival had to pay the local hotel tax, was about €30, cash or card.
Room - small but didn’t bother us, view was facing the bins so not so pleasant but only there for 3 full days. There is a small fridge in the room, although boxed into a cupboard so if you leave the cupboard door open it cools down a lot. No water in on arrival. There are vending machines and a small supermarket on the ground floor that has drinks, sweets choc etc.
Wi-Fi - this was great throughout the hotel, by the pool and in your rooms! A*
TVs in rooms - there are 3 English channels, ITV, ITV2 & ITV4. Everything else not English.
Towels for the swimming pool - nice towels available. €2 per day, per towel, with a €20 deposit, refundable at the end.
Restaurant - breakfast was great, clean, everything available. From pastries, breads, eggs, omelettes, fruit, cereals, sausages etc
We were half board so didn’t experience any lunches in the restaurant.
Evening meal - first night was a Mexican theme and the chili was lovely! Second night was roast lamb, which was lovely and all usual salads, breads, desserts, pizzas, chips and veg options.
Snack bars - this is where it lets itself down, unfortunately. It had pizzas, burgers, hotdogs, pastas, salads, chips. The system is terrible! You order food, get given a receipt, which they write a number on, and then proceed to just shout out orders when they are ready by what they have cooked and not the number. Was total chaos at popular times. If your all inclusive you can order anything but still go into the unknown abyss of who’s who’s. The staff that manned the larger food bar were all very rude.
We didn’t watch any evening entertainment but seemed pretty busy in the evenings.
Feel free to ask any questions. 😊

You can hire beach towels. 10€ and you can change them daily if you wish. I’ve seen people moaning about this on trip advisor- best advice if you don’t want to pay for one, bring your own.
The food is exceptional and always has a great choice for everyone. It is busy for breakfast and dinner but we expected that. The restaurant were brilliant with the baby and always went out of their way to ensure we had a high chair. I cannot understand why some people think the food isn’t good?!
The outside areas are spotless and have staff constantly making sure the pool areas and bars are clean. The pool snack bar is awesome! Great food and varied daily which is a bonus. The bar staff are great and don’t take long to remember your drinks order.
There is an entertainment team for the kids who work tirelessly from 10.30 ensuring there’s plenty of activities for them. The evening entertainment was great and had something for all ages, not just kids.
The hotel is away from the beach and is probably a 15 minute stroll downhill, but takes longer coming back up, mainly due to the heat. But it’s worth it!
In summary- go and visit this hotel. It’s great and we’ll definitely be going back.
Price/quality ratio is balanced. Room and bathroom with shower have what it takes .. you only stay here at night because during the day there is a large garden with swimming pool.
Huge breakfast buffet is definitely recommended, as are the other meals. During the day you can enjoy not only the delicious drinks at the pool bar but also small, dirt cheap, snacks. Shuttle will take you to the beach.
Animation also provided for children.
Only downside for those who love shopping ... you have to go 6km further for it. There is bus in the area. And with , cheap, taxi you'll be there in no time.
Definitely recommended for those who want peace.
