Hotel Cort in Palma de Mallorca proved to be one of my best finds. The hotel is located right in the centre of Palma, about a block from the extraordinarily beautiful Gothic Cathedral of Santa Maria de Palma.

Cort hotel is located in Plaça de Cort, which is a lovely cobbled square filled with trendy restaurants and boutiques. The hotel is well maintained and the reception I received at check in was very warm and welcoming. I was offered a complimentary drink, but as I only wanted sparkling water and I was keen to get to my room, the lady receptionist kindly brought up a 1litre bottle of Perrier for me.

Getting to my room on the second floor involved a lift ride and a couple of steps at each end of the corridor, which was awkward with luggage, but once I opened my door and saw the room I immediately forgot the inconvenience of heavy luggage and steps.

In my room was a note from the hotel's owner reminding me that "travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer". So true and such an appropriate note to welcome travelling guests.

Room 25 is just beautiful; exceptionally clean, modern and with the best quality linens, fabrics and amenities. In the bathroom the toiletries are all high end Molton Brown. Every little detail has been thought of and implemented. This is a property clearly run by an experienced hotelier who has impeccable taste and who understands what guests want from an hotel. There is a his ’n’ hers shower decorated with beautiful blue Spanish tiles, a heated upright rail for damp towels and, in the room, a double glass-fronted refrigerator containing soft drinks and mineral water.

European hotels have a very curious standard of switching off the air-conditioning system during what they perceive as colder months and the Cort is no exception. So, in January if you turn on the air-conditioner it will heat rather than cool the room. Thus, I had to switch it off and open the windows, which meant that my sleep was disrupted throughout the night by the chimes and bongs of Palma Cathedral clock tower. It should be for the guest to decide if they feel hot or cold, not the hotel staff.

Breakfast service was excellent. Although the hotel does not offer a breakfast buffet there is a comprehensive menu with lots of options to choose from.

I would certainly return to Cort hotel and when I shall be telling anyone who wants to listen what a wonderful find this superb hotel is.

For us, everything about this hotel ticked all the boxes - greal location, extremely comfortable suite, good food and very helpful, knowledgeable staff.
As we arrived early we were welcomed with a drink on the terrace, our luggage was stored away for us, and we were given information and maps to show us where to find some places for lunch - extremely helpful and knowledgeable reception staff made sure we made the most of our stay in Palma.
We had a suite which was cool, beautifully furnished with a spiral staircase leading to our bedroom, which had a large, very comfortable bed, and bathroom with two showers and two washbasins.
There is a small rooftop terrace with plunge pool which we used on one occasion - I am not sure how this would be in high season as it is a small area, but when we were there, there were only two other guests using it.
The breakfast was very good, everything fresh and freshly cooked, this can be taken on the terrace outside the hotel, or indoors if prefered. We had dinner on the terrace on one of our evenings at the hotel and it was quite delicious.

Hotel Cort is one of my favourite boutique hotels. This hotel really delivers unique suites all with a different feature but focused around the guest experience. The staff are highly trained and deliver five star service constantly.

The rooms are beautiful decorated with attention to detail on items that matter e.g. high quality bed linen, Molton Brown products in bathroom, high speed internet to easy mobile to TV streaming service. Each suite is unique some have outdoor space, balcony or providing extra chill out areas. Still wish I could buy the tiles they use across the hotel!

The staff make Hotel Cort. The restaurant staff catered for my food allergies with ease to create a food experience when eating at the restaurant, the reception staff are knowledgable and remember guests names and which room you are staying.

This place always deliver and could not recommend more highly.

The Cort Hotel helped me to dive fully into the culture of this amazing island Mallorca.
It has the perfect location(close to all interesting places and of course to the beach).
The hotel provides the great breakfasts, and luxury dinners.
I enjoyed the window view, the suite design and of course the excellent service.
I want to say some words about the bed, it’s really comfortable and I slept on it as a baby, in the morning I woke up and was full of energy.
In the bathroom I could find all necessary amenities( creams, shampoo, hair conditioner and of course the bathrobe and sleepers).
There is a bookshelf in the living room, where you can find different books about Mallorca. It really took me some hours to read interesting facts about this paradise island.
One more remarkable thing is the cozy pool on the roof.
My stay in Cort hotel was unforgettable and very pleasant.

Where to start and in which order, everything is just so perfect at this place. Let's start with the exceptional team taking such genuine care of us when we stayed here for 10 days earlier this month. The service comes really from the heart and within no time everyone remembered our likes and anticipated any wish we had, truly amazing. What's so different compared to so many other hotels is that the entire team really cares about their guests, they make the guests feel part of their hotel Cort family!! This design boutique property features so many details, every corner of it is so special and enjoyable. The room itself which was always spotless clean is at such high quality in terms of the hardware and amenities and so well thought trough that you hardly want to leave it. They even put a wine bar in the room, imagine yourself overlooking one of the most iconic and historical places on the island, observing vibrant street life Mallorquin style and sipping a glass of wine from your in-room wine bar, it can't hardly get any better than that. The food from breakfast to dinner was superb and did not leave any wish open. You can tell that they are using only the finest products and ingredients. We travel a lot and came to the conclusion that this was one of our best hotel stays ever and we can't wait to come back again. When in Mallorca, the Cort will be our first and only choice always.

This is a really sweet 4 star hotel located around the town hall square. Such a fantastic location with a buzzing vibe, coffee shops, bakeries, and icecream shops all around. It’s a 5 minute walk to amazing shops, the marina, the cathedral.

We were a family of 4 and had a placa suite, c£300 a night. It was a very large room with sofa bed for the little ones and a huge bed for us. Really comfy with all the pillows etc. There wasn’t a bath but lovely shower and all the products you needed. Well done for ditching the plastic bottles for something more sustainable!

We had 2 balconies which overlooked the square. There is a bit of noise with the clock bells & bars at night etc but it didn’t bother us, it was nice to get into the vibe.

Staff were very friendly on reception and in the bar. We were given a welcome drink and free water upstairs. The restaurant inside is quite strange, a bit dark and breakfast wasn’t really as good as it could have been. The waitress was lovely but the quality of food could have been better for the price of the hotel - you pick a la carte but there’s about 5 things to pick (cornflakes, some fruit, an omelette, a croissant) It was tasty but I think for the price there should be more on offer as it felt quite basic?

The reason for not giving this 5 stars is that the hotel smelt a bit drainy on the stairs, also there was a soggy tissue near the plunge pool, the bathroom could do with a paint, and breakfast generally could have been better. These are the only niggles :)

But we had a great time so thank you!!

For such a central hotel, Hotel Cort is delightfully relaxing and calm, primarily due to the excellent staff. They were warm, efficient and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Having breakfast outside in the Placa each morning is a brilliant start to each day. Our suite was comfortable and clean with the biggest bed I'd ever seen. I particularly appreciated the fact that the cleaners always did our room while we were breakfasting. We'd love to congratulate the owners for recruiting such wonderful people. One tiny criticism - I really found the pillows too soft and uncomfortable. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room that doesn't face the town hall opposite as the chiming clock is annoying. Apparently the two main hotels in the Placa asked for the bells to stop but the town hall's response was that they were there first!

Just returned from this amazing hotel in the centre of Palma. The whole experience was fantastic, from the moment we walked through the door. We were made to feel at home as soon as we entered; the girls on reception could not have ben more helpful and friendly; nothing was too much trouble and the front of house/restaurant manager Jaime was also really friendly and attentive.

The rooms were full of character, spotlessly clean with Molton Brown products, a huge bed and extremely comfy pillows and mattress.

Food in restaurant uses high quality produce and although the menu is a little limited the service, and quality was faultless. Breakfast was also very good and a good choice; it was nice to have table service rather than buffet!

The location of the hotel is right in the centre of the old town and within walking distance if all the shops and historic sites to visit. Also a good selection of restaurants nearby. Only small downside is the church bells that ring every 15 minutes, which at first was a bit annoying but we soon got used to it and wouldn't stop us returning.

I don't think we have stayed in a better city centre hotel and would give this hotel a 6 if we could. We will definitely return.

Exceptional hotel we have just stayed for 4 nights in a superior suite over looking the square. The room was beautiful and had the most comfortable bed. The hotel is in a fabulous location, Placa Cort is the square where the hotel is located it has a 600yr old olive tree in the centre, shops and restaurants on your doorstep and the cathedral is 500 yds. Having breakfast in the square and watching the city come alive was lovely. All the staff were so friendly and happy to help.

We had no faults or complaints with the hotel it was immaculately clean and the roof terrace which had 8 beds on was a nice chill out area. we had it to ourselves on most visits. We loved the stainless steel plunge pool to cool off but a rail on the wall would really help getting in and out 👍. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We took a taxi from Palma airport which was 15min approx 30 euros

Lovely boutique hotel perfectly located, just behind the cathedral, in a small square. The interiors are lovely, especially the bar and dining room which are full of designer flourishes. Our room was very well equipped - robes, slippers, coffee machine, books, safe, mini bar, huge very comfortable bed - and again full of nice touches like exposed floor boards and striking art works. The only minor quibble was our booking appeared to be a suite, rather than quite a small double, but that was the fault of the agent, not the hotel.
Breakfast was a nice experience, with coffee to order rather than a horrible machine, good breads and pastries and a nice selection of cooked to order hot items. We were offered a welcome drink on arrival. In fact a special feature was the universally friendly, helpful and top class service of all the staff. A special shout out to Hugo on front desk who offered excellent restaurant recommendations and gave great advice on where to visit.
Forget driving in Palma. It’s easy to get around by bus and driving is complicated by all the pedestrianised roads. Getting to the hotel is easy. Take the A1 bus from outside the arrivals hall and get off at Place Espanya from where it is a level 10 minute walk. €5 pp.
