It was small but clean, only two chaps trying to run the bar and reception and they struggled a bit but were very friendly and accomodating. The pool is small and sunbathing area. The nearby beach was tiny and full and the rest was volcanic rock. There was only one gift shop and a couple of small super markets, you would have to catch a bus to get to more shops and better beaches. Pubs and resturants were lovely

This hotel is fine if using as a base to see island but it is under staffed and when we were on holiday the bar shuts at 10. One bright note as we were high up we could see the hotel next doors entertainment and hear it well too. My advice is go to another resort altogether.

Vista Playa 1 is a set of apartments located just up the road from their sister hotel. The apartments are nicely located very close to the beach and not far (10 min walk) from the bars and restaurants. They are well kitted out for cooking if you need to and were comfortable and clean and spacious with a nice balcony. The pool is clean and quiet. We really enjoyed staying here as we like our privacy and a quiet place suits us fine. There is a restaurant and bar but these are not open all day or too late. You can take advantage of the facilities at their sister hotel - there's a pool, bar, restaurant and entertainment most nights. The staff (actually just one man doing everything when we were there and the cleaners) were friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a hotel experience with rooms cleaned everyday and entertainment each night then this is not for you. However if you enjoy fending for yourself in a quiet environment then it certainly is recommended for that. Two slight drawbacks: you could hear the entertainment at the next door all inclusive hotel but it was over by 11pm and you could hear your neighbours which could mean you are unlucky to have ignorant ones but unlikely from the type of clientele we experienced - older couples and single travellers.

My wife and I stayed for a week at the end of September, and were delighted with what we found. We had a very nice apartment, and as we were staying Half Board we had our breakfast and dinner just down the road in the Sagitarius, part of the same group. We were not disappointed, the food was good and well-prepared, although not quite the variety to be found in other hotels. We were also able to enjoy the entertainment each evening, which was generally good.

Once again vista playa came up to expectations. Clean comfortable apartment. Andrea is the most charming and helpful hostess, nothing was too much trouble. Location is excellent, right near the bus stop and the beach. Cala blanca is very quiet, just suits us perfectly. So if you want a quiet week in the sun, in a clean apartment, this fits the bill. Thank you Andrea for looking after us, hoping to see you next year.

We (my husband and I) stayed for 9 nights at the start of September, with Jet 2 Holidays. Found these apartments to be a little gem. Ideally located for the beach, bars and restaurants and the bus stop to Ciutadella and Cala'n Bosch literally outside the door. The apartments are a good size, basic but very clean and towels changed every two days. The apartments have all you need for a self catering break, although we only used the kettle and toaster and we don't go on holiday to cook! That said should you choose to cook there are adequate utensils etc to do the job. The large double bed was comfy - pillows were slightly hard - but didn't stop us getting a good nights sleep. We had a top floor apartment (which we had requested) and never found the stairs an issue. There are only three floors in these apartments. We had a sea view and could see the beach through the trees. All apartments face the pool area and overlook the Globales Mediterrani hotel - a large all inclusive hotel - it brought a smile to our faces watching the early morning sunbed dash and the placing of towels on the same sunbeds! Yes you could hear their entertainment - usually at around 11am for water aerobics and in the evenings - however most nights we returned back to our apartment after 11pm and the entertainment was finished. The pool and sunbathing area was small and quiet and a real suntrap. The beach across the road was smaller than our visit last year (they lost a lot of the beach in the winter storms) but still a beautiful cove/bay with white sand and turquoise water). We also walked 15 minutes to the beach at Cala Santandria which again has white sand and crystal clear water. Both beaches were great for snorkelling. The staff at the apartments are always friendly, happy and work hard. The two ladies who served us most are a credit to the apartments. Cala Blanca is a lovely quiet, calm resort with a good choice of restaurants and bars to eat in. We could have eaten in a different one every night. We enjoyed the entertainment at the Sagitario Playa on a couple of nights. Most of the bars had some entertainment on most nights. All very low key but enjoyable. Unfortunately we were unable to keep our room on for a later check out but were able to leave our cases at the sister hotel (Sagitario Playa) and were able to use their facilities as well as being able to shower etc before our flight home. Staff at this hotel also very friendly and helpful. We would recommend these apartments and hope to return.

Stayed at the vista playa apartments early september, myself and my husband. Must admit if this was the first time to menorca, then we would have been put off for ever. The apartments were basic, but clean and cleaned three times during our stay, the air con was a bonus, but you had to keep doors shut for it to work, so you could not speak to anyone inside, obviously with doors shut.. It was very noisy here with very loud entertainment coming from the hotel behind us, not want you want if you want to sit on the balcony with peace and quiet at night, and not having to shout to be heard, this happened every night. The nearby beach was very tiny and had jellyfish in one day, not a long beach, but the bars and cafes along the seafront are very relaxing, where you can watch the sunset. Overall not the place to come if you want peace and quiet and long beaches
