I stayed here several days and I must say I really liked this place, the people who worked there and fellow travelers I met there. The common rooms were clean and pleasant. People were friendly and cooperative. It felt like home. Thursday nights a Tapas...More
Stayed two weeks in the roof top private room end of January beginning of Feb, yes it's small BUT its quiet at night, the internet router is right outside the door, fast internet streamed YT and Netflix no problem, right beside laundry so it always...More
I liked everything about this hostel like atmosphere, staff, facilities, location, wifi but the private room was a bed in a converted bathroom (nicely done though) and hardly more value than a dorm bed except maybe for couples with urgent needs to make love. It's...More

I stayed in a very small private room on the top floor of the hostel which was really a terrace and laundry area. The room was about 4 sq m with a double bed filling the entire space. I give this review 3 stars because...More

No problems when I was there. Excellent Hostel! David and his crew keep things tidy, bed linens are washed daily, rooms and the premises are cleaned daily, kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. It was a pleasant experience and I plan on returning soon. It all comes down to the code of conduct of your fellow backpackers and the un-written rules of backpacking. Bad-Backpacker; doesn't clean up after themselves, feels staff should clean up after them, and at the end of the day doesn't understand communal living. Based on your question I see your not a seasoned backpacker. In my 25 years of backpacking and hosteling I have encountered bed bugs a few times, not a pleasant experience. Bed bugs are "transmitted" through your fellow backpacker; they are carried in clothing, sleeping sheats, bags etc. A good backpacker who understands social responsibility and has concern for their fellow travelers will, in an outbreak situation, examine all items they carry for the little bastards, shake-out, clean, wash all garments and anything they take with them to their next destination to the best of their abilities and resources to avoid further spread. I have had bed bugs at 4star hotels, therefore it has little to do with the accommodation but rather the degree social responsibility and understanding of communal living of your fellow travelers.
