Pension La Cubana is a really nice and old place situated in the city centre of La Palma. We spend there few days and old woman was really nice to us. Although they made us change room we got an amazing one for the same price :) We would definitely come back! Just hope the pillows will be better next...

Very characterful place on the main pedestrian street in Santa Cruz - and right across from a good bakery for breakfast. The rooms were comfortable, although a bit chilly in January. There is one shared bathroom for several rooms - it worked ok for us, but it would have been so much better if there was a separate toilet. Overall...

Pension La Cubana was very good – exactly as advertised and in the best location in town. Yes, its very basic accommodation inside, and some (mine) have a shared bathroom but that is exactly as advertised. The shared bathroom was no issue either. The building itself is very charming, as is the owner. My flight was delayed so I arrived...

I felt in love with this place! The house is beautifull, with a very classic huge living room and all small hallways with low ceilings and wooden floors and stairs. It feels a bit like going bach in time, but in a positive sense. I stayed in a lovely room in the back, with wooden floors and wooden doors facing...

Apart from the damp smelling room with no natural light, the smell of cigarettes from people staying up late talking & smoking in the patio just outside my room was not nice. There was also a lack of any friendliness or atmosphere.

An interesting old building with clean rooms, clean linen and a great location on the main shopping street and within easy trundling distance of the ferry. I have plumped for a 4-spot rating but this doesn't imply a luxury hotel - just a good, inexpensive pension., If you go in carnival time, you can get an excellent view from the...

The accommodation here is in a characterful old building on the main (pedestrian-only) street in Santa Cruz. It is basic but clean with communal kitchen facilities to make tea/coffee, cutlery & crockery and shared fridge provided. It has a nice communal lounge and dining table area with a balcony overlooking the main street. As such it's a great place if...

The pension,is located right in the city center at the mail shopping street of santa cruz. Taking the cheap prices into account the very simple rooms and the old school equipment (furniture etc) are ok. However the place can be noisy at nights due to the noise from the street. I'd only recommend it for a day or two.

You don't get any better location than "La Cubana", right bang smack in the middle of Calle O'Daly with cafes, shops, Spar supermarket very near. The sign is quite small, so street number counting is best the first time you visit. Checkin is friendly and quick if the receptionist is present, otherwise your key is waiting via a telephone at...
