It's a oxymoron of a hotel the place is clean in fact spotless - even wiping down the real plants leaves honest! The hotel is being renewed - new carpets, suites etc but in the style of 1985 again honestly. The staff is again a mixture the majority where really nice and friendly but a few were so dismissive it...

We spent just one week Masaru. The magnificent swimming pool and the comfortably warm water (a rarity in Puerto de la Cruz has a heated pool). Magnificent views towards the mountain. Terrible sound insulation. The neighbor's voices came to our room. Keeping the balcony door open during the night, became background sounds and keep the television quietly open, felt better,...

VERY "tired" hotel!! It needs redecoration and a upgrade of the entire hotel!! The beds was hard, espesialy the extra bed! The covers in the beds was "not-inviting" All round the staff was great, but a litle "old-fashion" in the reseption.

Buffet breakfast was included and was good and we ate out for dinner. The hotel is conveniently located for the many restaurants in La Paz but is...

The Masaru is easy to find, near the Botanic Gardens. If driving there, you can park by the entrance to unload but then have to move your car up the hill. We got to our apartment to find water on the floor from a partial defrosting of the fridge. The coat hooks came off the wall. You had to get...

We had booked 14 days at Masaru, and through our booking with Ving, we had a request for room on a higher floor. When we arrived, we got a room on first floor, above bars and restaurants, facing the busiest street, and almost closest to where the garbage trucks stop to collect the garbage. Probably the rooms used for guests...

Good value for money hotel. We stayed there for 6 nights and used the location as a base to discover the whole island. The apartment was spacious and clean with a kitchen, good beds and two balconies. The breakfast-buffet was ok. There is a swimming pool also. A lot of restaurants near the hotel and easy access to the motorway....
