Old hotel with renovated rooms, nice layout in the room for travelers with many suitcases, brand new furniture, very nice shower, but if it is possible to request a room on a higher floor, our window was just front of a tree, without terrace and suppose we make a reservation for superior room. The rooms in good size, not big but not and too small. The mattress is a little harder than it should be. The price for me was higher from the facilitys that the hotel offers, and we find in Booking.com a beter price fot the same hotel in the day befor our arrival, but they regect our issue to fix our booking. But the area is amazing good, with family restaurants and all beach very close, also the huge park very near. Posible to find free parking, with patience sometime, but posible. Breakfast very goo, but you need time cos of the many people…
we were on a "driving round Cantabria tour",and this hotel was our base for one week. big 60s concrete pile, 2 min walk to fabulous beech and all transport etc , busses are sooperb and frequent, surrounded by some really good family run restaurants and bars, dont forget your in the real Spain hear,so the area oozes atmosphere ,hotel has massive drive in underground parking ,secure with no issues or charges. we could not fault this well run friendly, multy lingual hotel,it has all the nesessary facilities with comfy modern rooms and very good beds and pillows. excellent choice of food and drinks throught the day , its all there, highly reccomendable . helpful friendly stall ,stayed there sept 19.
The hotel is huge with many rooms and always busy. It is located right in the middle of the city and you can walk to some of the beautiful spots in Santander. The beach, casino, parks, historical museums are just several steps away. Amenities are basics. Yes, they have a safe for valuables. Wi-Fi worked for me. Nice hot water shower. TV with several English channels. All in all, my stay is pleasant and relaxing. Will definitely stay in this hotel again.
Although the pillows were soft and not lumpy the mattress was very hard. The bed itself was very narrow. One fellow traveler fell out of bed during the night when he rolled over. More narrow than a standard US twin bed.
First time in Santander. I must come back and spend more time here. This hotel is perfectly situated. Walking distance to the beach (5 min). Cute boutique along the way for anything you may need. Lots of cafes and bars. About a 45 min walk to the port where there are more restaurants and shopping. This hotel was clean, comfortable bed, hot water, big tv and pretty sites. Best location! I’m from California, this city is a cross between San Francisco and Monterey with the amazing weather of La Jolla.
