I booked a cheap hotel and didn't expect the world. What I got was a fantastic hotel at budget price. Room was perfectly adequate, bed comfortable, shower good and breakfast fantastic! Staff friendly.

This is a very nice little hotel, literally a stone’s throw to the beach (Sardineros, but also very close to Camellos and Magdalena). I was in room 103, so main building and my experience was more like a bed and breakfast as there’s quite a lot of people traffic (footfall) noise from the corridors. But I am not a light sleeper, so it didn’t bug me. But light sleepers beware! The breakfast was nice - I like it that you can buy a coffee and/or a coffee and a snack and pay a fair price. Very nice touch to have beach towels available from reception. My bedroom was small, but for 1 person it’s ok. It’s a double bed so I don’t know if they would put a couple in. Bathroom also quite small but great water pressure. The only quibble I had was staff didn’t speak English - fine for me as I get by, but I can see this could be problematic. Proper struggles. Reception isn’t staffed all day, and they don’t make this clear. I was surprised to find the front hotel door unlocked at 6am when I left (surely that’s a bit unsafe?) Also they weren’t very knowledgeable of things like bus schedules (I don’t mean specifics, but one of the reception ladies told me no bus running to the station on Saturday at 7am (which wasn’t true).) Little things like those matter when you only have a weekend in town and are on a budget. But overall it was a very nice place.

The hotel has an eclectic charm and is in a good location for the beach and restaurants. The room was tidied every day. The reservations stated we had a queen size bed; however our room was just big enough for a full size bed and the bathroom was small. Also, if you like to sleep through the morning, don’t stay on the main floor because all hotel activities can be heard through the hotel room door.

The property is beautiful with a friendly staff. Rooms are pretty. Small by American standards. The bathroom was not perfect by American standards. I loved the place and would definitely stay again. Great value.
