Solo traveller & visited 50+ cities, 21 countries, 4 continents, and this is an accommodation I remember and want to recommend! I had trouble at first because I was going to arrive past the latest arrival time, Sergio made every effort to help but the owner didn't. So I paid for one unused night; it was my fault – though...

Very clean and nice rooms, although very small. Location next to train station, but entrance was hard to spot. Walking distance to all downtown restaurants and shops. There is no restaurant/breakfast, but plenty breakfast places on the street, or you can use the mini fridge.

We spent three nights in this hostal. Having quickly sorted out problems with the fridge and television and later followed by a smell from the shower the rest of our stay here was ok. We did get a lot of noise through the wall some of it at about 6:30 am and there was a lack of shower gel for...

Literally ' behind' the bus station in Santander. We arrived after 22:30pm and it was perfect although it took us several minutes to find it as the sign is not obvious. It is in the block nearest the tunnel if you are struggling to get your bearings and is upstairs although with a small lift. Owner was friendly and efficient...

We stayed 3 nights in room #4. Well designed and equipped with comfortable queen, desk with coffee pot(w/ all accessories and small refrigerator below), and fully equipped bathroom with 2' x 4' shower. The good value room was tight for 2 people to negotiate but the location could not be beat for transportation; Enterprise car rental, wonderful Cafe Espanol, tunnel's...

This clean basic hotel was right next to bus station! We walked all over downtown Santander from there. The waterfront & a great Italian restaurant & Prehistorica Museum were within blocks. The owner was helpful & kind, speaking English well. Though small, the room was clean & comfortable.

My wife and I stayed two nights at Hostal Cabo Mayor during a visit to Santander. The Hostal is very conveniently situated just across the square from where the airport bus drops off/picks up. Entry is gained via an impressive metal door then up two flights of stairs or by using the lift. Check in was easy and quick and...

This little hostal is in a perfect location right beside the bus and train stations. It was spotless and ideal for the budget traveller. Our room was small but the bed was super comfy and had good heating, soundproofing, strong wifi and a fridge. Unusually for Europe, there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room which were very...

If I had to choose a place to not come back ever, it would be definitely this one. - First of all, we let them know via telephone and email that we were arriving late (around 11pm) and they said it would not be a problem... When we actually arrived the lady in the reception was really unfriendly and even...

Dear Alejandra, First, I apologize for the poor care received. It is true that you warn your arrival around 23:00, but finally, you came near 24:00. On our website we specified very clear that the reception closes at 22:00 and you must give at least 72 hours in advance if your arrival is late. Not the same arrival day. But...

Cabo Mayor get most things right. This stylish little hotel is perfect for the budget traveller getting around by train or bus. The rooms are fairly quiet, simple, well planned and stylish. The bathrooms are good with a large shower. The wifi signal is strong and there are power points to charge your devices. It's on the second floor but...
