A sweet family hotel in the very center of Santander and just minutes away from the sea (not the beach though). The bus and railway stations are right in front of the building. So I would say that the location is just perfect. The room is a bit small, but as I was alone it was not really a problem....

All my reviews are very honest of the expierience ive had. Went to Santander for a 4 night break looking for cheap flights n non fancy accomadation. Booked the Cabo Mayor and was'nt dissapointed. Come out SDR airport, local buses stop right outside. 2.5 Euro to bus station in town center takes 8mins, great, Cross over the square and your...

Overall a good stay. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need . The receptionist was friendly and helpful, although she spoke little English. The location was great, just a short walk to nearby bars and restaurants. Nice options for breakfast nearby. The only problem was noise in the morning. The walls are very thin, meaning that...

Lovely central hotel. Rooms small but comfortable and modern and clean. Noisy when you leave windows open which you need to do as no air conditioning. Sinage needs to make it more obvious which buzzer to press when first arriving. Fine after that as you have your own main door key.Owner very helpful.

I'm walking the Camino de Santiago and arriving at Cabo Mayor is a treat! Modern, clean room and bathroom right in the centre of Santander. It's tiny but has all you need and the owner has put in a fridge and kettle which makes the stay even more pleasant. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Overall great value for money!

Cabo Mayor is a wonderful little place to stay in Santander. It's clean, fresh, modern and the owner thought about your comfort by putting in a fridge and kettle. It's small, but has everything you need. The owner is very friendly. Great value for money. I will go back to this place next time I'm in Santander.

In October 2013 I re-visited Santander and again stayed at the Hostal Cabo Mayor, this time for 4 nights. The hostal and the owner-mgr Sergio were both as accommodating as on my first stay last year. I wanted to visit the El Pendo cave a few miles from Santander, which Sergio arranged with a taxi driver at a low cost....
