This is one of the worst hotels that I have stayed in. We were in a standard room so there was no air conditioning - we arrived on the hottest day of the year.. We opened the window but it didn't help and the noise from outside made it difficult to sleep. The room was dated and needed a bit of a makeover such as the bottom of the door looking rotten and a stained bath. The room was very dark and the walls were paper thin - we could hear the people next door. You need to put a sign on the door if you want it cleaning - never come across this before. The room was also quite cramped. The beds were not comfortable either. On the positive side - the location was handy and the breakfast was substantial. I will not recommend this hotel.
During the recent heat wave in June 2019 I booked this hotel because it was advertised as having air conditioning. When i arrived i discovered that this hotel does not have air conditioning. I raised raised this issue with the hotel & with AMOMA (the booking agent) but got no compensation for the false advertisement. The hotel room had a strong Oder of sweat. I would not recommend this hotel.
Before I booked 3 rooms, I emailed the hotel, asking to reserve a space in their garage. The hotel manager said that was no problem: 'As a follow up to your request, that won’t be a problem, however because your reservation it’s in June, please contact us again at beginning of June to confirm with us your request.I look forward to hearing from you. Aaron Valderrama, Director' * I emailed them 3 times to remind them of our stay * When I arrived at the hotel, there were NO spaces, I was told that I had requested a space, but I hadn't asked for one ??? The director wouldn't speak with me to explain, I asked for a refund of the difference I would have paid to stay in theirs, they refused, so I had to park in the railway station car park, which cost 27 Euros for 16 hours ! (15 mins walk away) I had booked and paid for 3 premium rooms, we received 3 rooms, at the back overlooking the alleyway and the homeless man, an awful bleach smell in the rooms, stains on the ceiling and curtains that didn't close. When I asked the receptionist if these were premium, she said no, she hadn't looked at the reservation number, so just gave us basic rooms. The new rooms were quite good, although mine was directly above the main door to the hotel, where people stopped, stubbed their cigarettes out before going in, No air con so my windows had to be open, and I hate the smell of cigarette smoke ! These rooms were spacious, Wifi worked, good bathroom, and a fridge. The safe was locked so couldn't access it to put my valuables away. My dad had a disabled room, the toilet seat in his ensuite wouldn't stay up, and the floor was dangerously slippery when wet, and not many grab rails, so I cannot imagine how a disabled person with a wheelchair could deal with this. The main reason for staying here was it was close to the ferry terminal, and that we were told we had a parking space ! If I knew this beforehand I would have booked another hotel. Our last stopover after 3 weeks in France before we travelled home on Brittany Ferries.…
Clean enough room but very noisy from street noise as well as other rooms. Linen was clean, beds were comfortable enough. No spare pillows in room. Furniture very dated. Clean but basic bathroom. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Really handy for bus station as we were in the hotel less than 15 minutes after leaving the airport. Never made it up for breakfast as didn't sleep well due to noise.
Well situated for both ferry port and train station. Small but perfectly adequate room, very comfy beds and spotless bed linen, great breakfast. Very nice helpful staff. Will definitely use this hotel again.
