The rest of the hotel was beautiful. Full windows in the main areas and in the dinning room with the same gorgeous views (minus tank). We had breakfast at the buffet, and although small, we found it delicious. This is where I got addicted to the Spanish Omelette lol. There were fresh fruit juices, different breads and croissants, coffee/tea, a variety of charcuterie meats and cheeses, fruits and you could request eggs how you liked them.
A great perk about this place is that there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel (for public transportation and the hop on hop off). Also there is free parking! It would have been a fantastic stay had it not been for that tank and I would even have overlooked the brown hot water coming out of the taps when you first turned them on.
I would still recommend this place, just don’t get the room on the lower level next to the parking lot facing town (I believe it is 110) ;)
Staff are courteous and bed very comfortable. HDTV is very large. Hard keys still in use for rooms and quite awkward and difficult to use if not use to this old lock systems. Overdue to be replaced with electronic key card entry system with room power connected.

We stayed in room #209 that had a terrace with a city view. Unfortunately, we couldn’t use the terrace due to a close active hornet’s nest that swarmed quickly.
The property is a thirty-minute walk to old town Toledo so car/taxi/bus access is more realistic. The bus stop directly in front of the hotel is convenient.
Our room was tired in need of refurbishment. It was necessary to unplug the one lamp for an outlet to charge a phone.
Breakfast was a disappointment with only cold food choices and the TV had only a couple of Spanish stations.
The worst part was the non-functional climate control. I awakened at 2 AM in a pool of sweat and went to the front desk at 2 AM and asked to be changed to a room with functional air conditioning. The desk clerk asked what the thermostat was set to and at that time I had turned it down to 15C which only made it hotter. The desk clerk advised that many of their rooms had the thermostat wired ‘backwards’ so I really need to turn the thermostat up to 30C to lower the temperature. You have to be kidding. Here was an error that the hotel was completely aware of, yet they did nothing to fix it or inform their clients of the required ‘work-around’ to make the climate control function. (The fix requires swapping two wires on the back of the thermostat – less than a minute task). Why would the hotel leave it to guests to determine that they wired the thermostats backwards?
At 7 AM after five hours of A/C operation at maximum fan speed the room temp was down to 25C (77F). During the heat of the day, there is no way this weak A/C could keep the room temperature in a ‘livable’ range.
In summary, the property had promise but poor execution renders it unacceptable at any price.

I was surprised to learn it was rated 4-stars—I would say it's more in line with a 3-star experience. The air conditioning was ineffective, and the hot water supply failed for a full day during my stay; Unfortunately, this meant my pregnant wife had to take a very cold shower to prepare for a friend's wedding. Additionally, the iron provided was an old model without steam and did little to remove creases from my clothes.
The breakfast was very basic. I had to make and clean my own table. There is a lack of power outlets in the room, and those that are present are not in convenient locations. There is an outlet on one side of the bed but not the other, and none at the desk, which is typically expected so I can work. The TV wouldn’t connect to external sources such as Bluetooth or WiFi. The rooms are very nice but they are skewing signs of dating with paint flaking etc and in need of renovation, as the pictures show. The shower heads are old and have water mold, and the jets are blocked, making the spray weak and projecting sideways. Additionally, there is no laundry service.
No tea / coffee making facilities in room.
This is not what I expect from a 4-star Marriott but certainly a decent 3 star.

The staff was great and helped to make dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant. The room was large, well maintained and had a terrace which provide a fantastic view of the town at night. Enjoyed a glass of wine on the terrace in the evening soaking in the fantastic view
I opted to have breakfast in the town so I really can not comment on the food. Can say that the wine list was good with plenty of choices and everything was very reasonably priced.
Will plan to stay at this hotel if I am ever visiting Toledo in the future
The building is older & little is done to mitigate the noise throughout. Be prepared to be woken up early by housekeeping & children.
There is a restaurant in the hotel, but, more often than not, it is closed. The nights I was there (a weekend) it didn't open til 8pm.
When I asked the desk clerk for somewhere else I could get something to eat she told me nothing was open, but when I went on a walk I passed 2 open restaurants.
"I think a city view is overrated. Not a great selection of food for vegetarians or vegans."Read full review
