We only stayed one night but it was certainly memorable. We asked for a room on the top floor because we had heard that the views of Toledo was very nice. We weren't wrong. From our room we could clearly see the Grand Cathedral and the town around it. It is better to request it when making reservations. We walked... More

Nice hotel in quiet area of Toledo - ask for a room along the back of the hotel - the views (see photo) of the Catedral are spectacular - especially at sunset. Be sure to go to the attached Cafe for coffee in the morning - and one of the best Bocadillos de Jamon we had in Andalusia!

A nice hotel in the beautiful center of The old town of Toledo. The check in was smooth and the people at the desk were welcoming. The rooms are basic, and you can hear some noise from the room next to you. Anyway all very clean. The bkfst is not a full 4 star one, I'd more a 3 stars'.... More

Lovely small room, albeit basic. I believe they are renovating and upgrading the rooms . The hotel claims to be 4stars, but the room I stayed at is not. I was asked upon leaving if I consumed anything from the minibar. I didn't have one in my room (front desk person realised my room hadn't been fitted yet with it).... More

We spent 2 nights at Hotel Alfonso VI (after making the mistake of staying at another place with noise and drunks shouting till past 4 a.m.) We made our reservations online, walked up the hill, checked-in, left our bags till our room was ready (at 1, as promised). When we returned, we were ecstatic about our room: corner room on... More

This was not only one of the nicest hotels I stayed in throughout my trip to Spain and Portugal, it was the cheapest. The room was very pretty with a lot of character. We overlooked the street but in October it was very quiet. It was close to a lot of attraction. Breakfast was great.

A beautiful classic Spanish Hotel but with a kettle in the room and free tea and coffee..Fabulous atmosphere old worl Spain. Suits of armour everywhere!! Nice staff, central location and disabled accessible. Toledo is pretty hilly though and there is plenty to see. Food OK but plenty of alternatives in the immediate area.

Superb location to explore a stunning city. The Alfonso VI exudes classic spanish lodging from the moment one enters from the corner of the imposing Alcazar. This is an old school hotel which fits perfectly in this city. A small lobby is attached to a large gift shop which is always busy and streaming with foot traffic. The rooms had... More

This is a nice hotel whose central focus is the hotel not the customer. It is at the highest points in the city. So when you are walking home from a hard day sightseeing it is all uphill. That means the view is great. Check in was uneventful but when we asked about breakfast for the next morning we were... More

Lovely traditional old Spanish hotel with friendly helpful staff. Excellent location and spotlessly clean. Had a lovely balcony with table & 2 chairs with view of the countryside & cathedral. Easy to get to hotel and leave Toledo with SatNav. Wifi code given to you at reception upon request but after a couple of days, needs to be renewed, as... More
