This is a gorgeous hotel with almost certainly the best view in Toledo. It sits on a bluff overlooking the old city and I believe all rooms are on the city view side of the building. Room was spacious; massive by European standards. Bathroom had a combo shower/bath, toilet and bidet, two sinks, blow dryer. Room had a couch and two beds side-by-side, tv with free wifi instructions (and remote in sanitized bag), desk, mini bar refrigerator, mini safe. A hot water maker was provided with tea bags or instant coffee. Large and spacious tiled lobby is nice. Dinner restaurant was outstanding, but note first seating is not until 8:30pm (standard in Europe but late for us Americans). My only complaint is there was some noise from the bar/cafe area directly underneath my room (it came through the door which needs better sealing). In spite of this it is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and would be my choice if I ever return.

The winding drive up to the Parador and the entrance exudes exclusivity and gives you that feeling that you have arrived somewhere really special. Reception was friendly and efficient and gave us all the local information we needed. The lobby is tastefully furnished and your eyes are drawn to the terrace overlooking that glorious view of Toledo. Our room couldn’t have been further away (116) and involved a lot of walking. The room was immaculately clean, bed very comfortable and gorgeous bathroom with bidet. The Parador de Toledo is a very nice hotel with incredible architecture and a more than idyllic setting. However, an accumulation of many small details meant that my stay was not up to my expectations. I came to spend the weekend in Toledo for a wedding but also to rest. So I decided to invest in this high standard property so that I could enjoy the pool and a nice room (I don't normally spend as much on a room). Once there, I was told that the pool was closed for weather reasons. But it was very nice during almost the whole weekend. So it was very frustrating to have a pool available and pay for an establishment that sells this service when it is actually not available. Also, when I asked the reception a second time if I could go to the pool, a new person explained that it would be closed for the rest of the year. The reasons were unclear and changing. Finally, I think it would be the least of things to warn guests that some of the property's offers are not valid. So I would have oriented my choice on another accommodation.
Moreover, I thought it was not very serious and that I would enjoy spending time in a beautiful room with a view. Once stowed in the room, I discover a room with a window smaller than an airplane window and too high to see anything. The relaxing and relaxing weekend fell apart since I felt more in a prison cell than in a luxury hotel...

When you go to a Parador you are already very calm and know that you are not going to fail, but between not failing and hitting the nail on the head there is a stretch and the Parador de Toledo is a completely satisfactory stay. Since we made the reservation, the people at the Reception were very involved with us, without knowing us at all, they were the ones who insisted that it was worth choosing a superior room and it was indeed the best decision because those rooms are amazing and leave you with an indelible memory for your entire life. life. Modern construction rather well done in the traditional style. Comfortable and good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Kettle available. The terraces of the bar and the dining room offer an exceptional view of Toledo. very decent meal. Excellent buffet breakfast with the possibility of hot dishes prepared to order (eggs, migas, Spanish omelette, etc.). Pleasant staff. You must leave your car in the free parking lot and use a taxi (around €10) to visit Toledo.

Very pleasant stay and beautiful views of the city. We came to rest after touring the historic city but sadly, although our bedrooms were comfortable the beauty of the swimming pool and terraces were ruined by the horrendous amount of wasps and flies. So much so that we couldn’t sit by the pool and didn’t enjoy eating our lunch on the terrace. Service is average with the exception of some of the ladies in the dining room. It would be nice if they served at least water by the pool as it gets hot and if they invested a little more time in training the staff on customer service. Food at dinner was lovely and the dining room had a lovely atmosphere.

The hotel is lovely and the views are as incredible as the photos show. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and the food at the restaurant was of the same high quality you expect from a Parador with some wonderful local and regional dishes.
However, we have to discuss the wasps. The pool has two showers and each of these was surrounded by 30-40 wasps (we counted), not to count the dead or half-dead wasps in the pool. The garden surrounding the pool was lovely, but also covered in wasps. I got stung on my toe while lying on a sunbed trying to nap. Thankfully the lifeguard on duty had some salve on hand that prevented much swelling and took most of the pain away.
At dinner, the wasp situation was no better on the terrace. The staff helpfully put out smoke pots on several tables but it didn't help much. Other guests were visibly uncomfortable and our son was terrified so we moved inside. Thankfully the wasps seemed to subside after sunset so we could enjoy our dessert back on the terrace, and again the staff were incredibly apologetic and accommodating. Again, really lovely service.
Unfortunately I'm not sure what you do in this situation, but I don't think we'll be returning.

Great hotel, comfortable, quiet, easy access for cars, has free on-site parking. Comfortable room, quiet. Attentive staff, delicious breakfast with lots of options. It is located further away from the city, we chose to go and return by taxi, leaving the car at the hotel and it was great, the average cost per ride was 6 euros. We arrived to watch the sunset from the hotel bar and it was beautiful and dinner too. I suggest scheduling a time for dinner (if you're interested) and breakfast.

Lovely hotel but no air conditioning! Can’t believe in this day and age with solar panels etc that you can’t have the air conditioning on when you need it. We have been told that the hotel provides either heating or air conditioning to all rooms, not a combination. So you are forced to roast in your room at 20 degrees - far too hot to sleep for me. No I had no sleep last night as too hot. There are no windows in the rooms only doors…so no means of ventilation only forced heat. I am reluctant to open the only doors to the balcony outside as we are on the second floor and I sleep walk… so… either my husband tonight tries to sleep on a chair by the open door to the balcony so we can cool the room down, or once again I get no sleep as it is far too hot in the room. To the extent I had a panic attack last night. Sadly we are booked in for too more nights and as it is part of our tour no other option but to stay. It is so disappointing, the setting is lovely, the staff great and the food excellent, all spoilt because all rooms have to be heated at night.
