Hotel Santa Isabel earns high marks from guests for its excellent value, coupling cost-effective accommodations with commendable cleanliness, notably in the pristine bathrooms. The service at this hotel garners consistent praise, with staff described as friendly and the breakfast as outstanding. Nestled in the historic city center, the location is celebrated for its convenience to attractions and the stunning views it offers. I was delighted with the hotel, it has 2 stars but it deserves more, the staff was very helpful, the hotel was super clean, very well located, 100 meters from the cathedral, right in the historic center, the room was super warm, which was appreciated in the cold what it did outside, and the breakfast was great, 6 euros and super abundant, (yogurt with cereal to start, then coffee, infusion or whatever you like, orange juice, toast or ham or butter and jam and then fruit or giant croissant or choco Neapolitan, a real feast to start walking through Toledo.
So I give this hotel a 10.

First, you must understand that these are simple accommodations, but the price was right, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The hot water was plentiful, the beds were nice and firm, and the staff was extremely accommodating. They have parking right across the street (about 10€ a night), and one of the staff kindly backed out our car when we left, but you should be forewarned that driving into the old city is not for the faint of heart. The cars here have a way to automatically retract the side mirrors, and the streets were so tight that it was necessary to use this feature. I should also mention the continental breakfast, which is a bargain at 6€pp. It’s not an American breakfast, but it’s plenty. First, you get a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Then a tiny cup of yogurt, followed by a generous slice of bread with either jam or some excellent ham. After that you have a choice of a mediocre pastry or two pieces of fresh fruit. And coffee, of course. Lastly, the rooftop terrace is lovely. At midday it’s shaded, and then after dark it is worth a visit to admire the views of the city lit up at night. Great stay in Toledo.

Dear client, We are very grateful for sharing your experience at Hotel Santa Isabel de Toledo. Also very proud and happy that you enjoyed a very good stay. Toledo is a medieval city, for this reason its streets are narrow, but this is precisely its charm. The best thing is to arrive at the hotel, leave your suitcases and park at the hotel itself, then enjoy a few good days of vacation. For your next stay you can book by phone or on our official website and we will give you free breakfast every day of your stay. See you soon. Here is your home for when you want to return. Sincerely,

The saying is 'you get what you pay for' but in this case I feel we got more. The hotel is quaint, in a lovely quiet area of the city but so close to the cathedral that on the terrace you feel that you can reach out and touch it-the view really is that good! We booked the basic room and yes it (and the bathroom) were small but perfectly adequate and if we had wanted more room we could have paid more. Noise between rooms might be an issue if you have someone noisy and you are a light sleeper-I did hear some talking and I think here we may have been lucky as they were quiet! The reception staff were lovely; all in all a very good stay.

Good afternoon! Thank you very much for using that saying in a positive light. We are very glad that you liked the style of our facilities. Thank you very much for pointing out what a great location we have and for pointing out what our beautiful terrace looks like with its views. Thank you also for appreciating that this style of room is suitable for guests. The rooms are close to each other, that's why you could hear some conversation, but it depends on each person. Thank you for indicating that this was not a problem for you. Thank you very much for pointing out the good service of our staff as they always try to give the best possible. Thank you very much, sincerely.

We were in a "romantic" room, quite small but very cool views. The room is clean (except for the toilet brush, which I would change more frequently), and everything is in order.
This type of room includes a welcome with a bottle of wine and chocolates, very delicious indeed.

We had a "mishap" with the bed, which we half-solved so we could spend the night without disturbing the staff too much, to whom we informed what happened. We didn't get any kind of response or apology from anyone.

The location is unbeatable and they have parking, which is a little difficult to get to, but then you have the peace of mind of having the car right there.

We stayed five nights at the hotel, (with 4 days for sightseeing) and were very pleased with how clean the room was - always our priority. The bathroom was fine with a good shower and also perfectly clean. We had the room made up each day. I would maybe recommend upgrading to a room with a view or balcony as our room overlooked the courtyard and anyone opposite or walking along the hallway could see into our room so it was necessary to keep the shutters closed. However, the weather was hot so it kept the room cool. The aircon was very good. No fridge or safe but not a problem. There is a small grocery store near the hotel where we could get water and other cold drinks. The hotel is very central and convenient to see all the "sights". As we were there for several days, we walked to the viewing point via a medieval bridge and historic gate - approx 5 miles there and back. Also there is a nice walk following the Ecological River path, as well as a walk around the perimeter of Toledo following the City Walls, and crossing another medieval bridge and historic gates. We also took the train to Madrid and visited the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Entry is half price for people over 65. The only downside was the breakfast, which was very limited in choice, and was somewhat repetitive as we were there for 5 days. Unfortunately no muesli or fruit salad and the croissant was huge and very sweet. Fresh orange juice was the only healthy thing on offer.

Good afternoon, Thank you very much for appreciating the cleanliness of your room, since the employees who clean them always try to do a great job. If you return to the Hotel Santa Isables another time, we will try to give you a room with a balcony. At reception we have a refrigerator and a safe where we store things for clients who request it. Thank you very much for rating the good location of the hotel. As for breakfast, it is continental and offers fresh orange juice, coffee, infusion or cocoa, toast with jam, tomato and ham or bacon, seasonal fruit and industrial pastries. We also have other alternatives such as eggs. The client is the one who must assess what things to order each day to combine their breakfasts and not make them repetitive. In addition, apart from fresh orange juice, fruit or yogurt are also offered as healthy alternatives. Thank you very much for rating us. Sincerely.

Hotel in the center of Toledo, good value for money.
It is in a historic building.
Right-sized and welcoming rooms, classic breakfast with hot drinks, freshly squeezed juice, croissant, fruit.
The terrace on the third floor is splendid and makes me give it the highest rating!

What a great hotel! The front desk staff is excellent and always answered our questions. Breakfast was included with our room; it was the best complimentary breakfast we've ever had at a hotel! The rooftop terrace offers beautiful views of Toledo during the day and at night. It's a great location that's easily accessible by taxi for drop off from the train station, as well as walking to the Primate Cathedral and other attractions in Toledo.

This hotel is based in an exceptional location, provides great value, and has friendly staff. It is not a high end hotel yet it is still comfortable with an elegant interior (former monastery) and a lovely view from the rooftop terrace. The rooms are small and limited in resources. They do not have a refrigerator or coffee maker. The shower is fully functional and comes with bottles of shampoo, soap, and conditioner. Breakfast is included and is simple but hearty. The bed is firm and the pillows a little too firm for my taste. Overall this is a lovely place for a brief stay in Toledo.

We are currently staying at this characteristic hotel with its antiquated tiled and wooden interior; it's certainly perfectly in keeping with its historic surroundings.
Angel kindly permitted us to have a room with a balcony. It's great to experience everyday Spanish life but I would say to any light sleepers to be warned that you'll also hear outside voices talking at full volume at anytime of night. (This morning I was woken at 5 a.m by a noisy exchange!)

The beds in our room are large singles & super comfortable - been particularly useful as we've had food poisoning from a restaurant in the city; so have had to rest here during most of yesterday!
The ensuite is somewhat bijou but a clever use of space 😉

As other reviews have mentioned, the roof top terrace is absolutely marvellous. It has all round vistas and is great to experience both day & night.
There is also a pleasant view some 10 mins walk away, overlooking the river & Jewish quarter etc at the 'Plaza de Conde' - where the bus stop is.

As for breakfast; we're yet to experience that this morning!

I really can't understand why Hotel Santa Isabel is classified as a 2🌟 property; it has so many positive things to commend it! First and foremost is the thoughtfulness of having an English speaking staff. I was somewhat taken aback that this is not the norm in Spain's hospitality industry. I was extremely grateful to be able to communicate any questions I had and receive helpful information in return. Also high on the list is a desirable location: Hotel Santa Isabel is nestled in a junction of two streets not too far from Toledo's famous cathedral. I loved that it was quiet both day and night, as if I was in an oasis of peace, and the rooftop patio was perfect to watch the sunset and then see the sights come alive with the soft glow of lighting after dark. The property itself is very clean and my room was immaculate in every way. There were no chips, old stains, or threadbare linens. The maintenance is top notch. The breakfast service is a lovely addition and the coffee is quite good. Every single staff member I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and polite. Hotel Santa Isabel is managed with complete competency and professionalism. My quarters were a big part of my choice to extend my stay in Toledo, and I will be happy to visit again during my next trip to Spain. Next time I will be sure to request a room with a view on an upper floor ~ make sure you do so when booking. I highly recommend Hotel Santa Isabel as a choice lodging in Toledo.

We stayed in a double room and it was no kettle. I suppose the main reason is that it was neither a table.
