The Hotel Rector is perfect in every way: a small, charming upscale boutique hotel in a neoclassical building directly across the street from the old city walls. The lobby has three different sitting areas with comfortable chairs and lots of art books to read. The rooms are large; the beds so comfortable you want to ship them home; the breakfasts...

Almost perfect. Small, perfectly located, beautifully designed and appointed and maintained, gorgeous rooms and public space(s), abundant breakfast, warm and attentive and thoughtful staff. A very very VERY nice hotel and a great choice when in Salamanca. One minor glitch is that the third floor of the building in which the Hotel operates is apparently one or more residences occupied...

We arrived at Hotel Rector on a winter night having driven from Paris and the welcome we received is probably the warmest on the Paris to Lisbon drive! The hotel is impeccably maintained and stunningly located - a short walk from the old town. Our room was large and well appointed. The staff were most courteous, most helpful and simply...

We stayed for one night at this small boutique hotel and were impressed with the excellent service and the feeling of being in a private home. The rooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully prepared with plenty of options. The hotel is well located near the river and the Roman arched bridge. Would highly recommend this...
