Before arriving we checked in online. But when arrived, our room didn’t open. We were waiting for an hour whilst admin made unsuccessful attempts to do something with a key. After all these he offered us a room(only free one as he said) assured us that it is clean. Once we entered, saw dirty coffee mugs, full trash, used stuff in the bathroom and as a cherry on the top - not flushed toilet…. As long as it was an only option, we asked at least for clean towels and sheets(as noticed later, cleaned not their strong side. Floor wasn’t washed even once, towels were not changed, bed made awfully). And then suddenly our room got open. Admin was saying that we will get a refund or a discount at least that we moved in to our room only after three hours. The worst thing in all that was time, we arrived at midnight, accordingly got in the room at 3am. In the middle of the night, after the flight no one really cared about discounts or whatever, so just waited till morning to discuss. In the morning on the desk we found completely new people who just kindly gave us a new key. Btw it didn’t work from the first time, technician went there again and gave another one, that was working. After couple days we saw that first admin again and he was avoiding eye contact, okay… on checking out we met again and he assured us that we will get credits on the account. Again everything was at night and it wasn’t perfect time for a scandal. After a week still no refund, only got charged tax fees. Hotel was nice, perfect location, but administration need to be changed……
Overall a good stay but there are positives and negatives about this hotel. Positives; - Great location - centre of town in main shopping street - recently refurbished so fittings new - good wifi, tv with streaming etc Negatives - poor security, door left open to street all day with no control over lift access - quality of fittings and decor is lower quality - no frills i.e. no dressing gown or slippers, only 1 chair in double room etc. Toiletries basic. I think you get what you pay for and on balance this is good value for money.
The King Room with terrace was amazing!! Afternoon siesta on the terrace couch was magnificent. It opens up to a quiet courtyard. The room amenities were nice, lovely shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, shaving kit, nespresso machine in room, cold filtered water machine in hall with carafe and glasses in room, fridge in room. Bed was comfortable, firm pillows, soft sheets. Front desk staff was always smiling and very helpful!!! Location perfect!!! Safe and central. Would highly recommend!!!!
Nice Hotel Very central Staff were lovely and so helpful Room was nice and bathroom was gorgeous! Only dislike I had was you could hear everything from other rooms from the window (I mean everything.....😳😂) But other than that our stay was really nice. Again the staff were really really lovely and so helpful! I would stay again 👍
Don't go to this hotel, it's not worth it. The stay at Sonder Paseo de Gracia was not pleasant. First, the minibar in the room is not a minibar, but "a cava" (according to the manager). Therefore, it is not possible to cool drinks (according to the staff, the minimum temperature is 19 degrees). So we asked the reception for ice, but since the "restaurant is under renovation" they don't have ice. We had to go to a supermarket to buy it. Also, the sink in the bathroom leaks, so one day we woke up and all the towels as well as the toilet paper were wet. It took 24 hours to fix it... The cleaning service also left something to be desired, the day the bathroom was all wet due to the leakage of water, they did not come to clean, even having left the sign to please clean the room and having been out of the room almost all day long. Additionally, the room has a series of sloppiness: for example, the safe doesn't work or the cups are bigger than the coffee machine (so you can't make a coffee). They only give you a bathrobe (in a double room, with two people). All details were reported to the front desk, and the manager response was: "thank you very much for your feedback, we will solve it shortly". But, nothing happened... The staff is very friendly, whenever you raise a situation they receive you with a smile, they apologize, and tell you that they will solve it, but at the end of the day nothing happens.…
It is a newly renovated hotel located in a very good neighbourhood on the main road Passeig de Gracia. Famous tourist places like Casa Batillo and Casa Mila are just a couple of blocks away. The metro stations are very near and easily walkable. The bus stops are also outside the hotel. All good places to eat are nearby The checkin process which is done online can have some glitches but on the whole is smooth. The hotel has couple of people at the front desk 24 hrs to facilitate checkin if not done online. The checkin time was 4 pm which is quite late in the day but for us they managed to give us our room by 130 pm which was very helpful after a long overnight flight The room did not have a street view but had a small balcony attached to it which was wonderful. The room size is fairly decent. The room and bathroom were clean and were cleaned daily. The overall cleanliness was excellent. All amenities were there as described in their site. The hotel also provided us with a boxed complimentary breakfast which was nice on their part. The airconditioning was good, the bed soft and comfortable and no noise. I would surely recomend this place to stay…
Amazing stay, will definitely come back. Comfortable quite clean room (501) no street view. The toilet and bathroom are new and very clean. No swimming pool, there is a small gym room with few equipment on the 5th floor next to the big Terrace. All the staff are great specially Alba.
nice and new hotel. very good location on the best street in Barcelona . very kind and helpful staff the room was nice and very clean but mine was without view bed is very comfortable you can make all the needed things from the app including open the room…
I strongly advice caution before using this hotel. Their application require you to manually do the check in but I had hard time completting the check in. I entered passports selfies and aplication gave me ALL GOOD even got email with check in confirmed then after a hour I get email check in not completed. Went back there entered again and same thing happened. Then again then again. I went in contact with their chat that sent me broken links or links that did not took me where it should Then I realized that their IT TEAM is lousy so I am wondering where went all the passports selfies credit card details. Most likely the information is not safe since they loose it every hour I spend lot of time on chat without succes them asked for a refund Please be carefull with them as your private data can be at risk …
It was a pure pleasure staying in Sonders hotel at Passeig de Gracia. From the day of arrival we received a room upgrade and a complimentary breakfast just for a minor unfinished repair in the room we reserved. The staff is putting all the effort to make the stay enjoyable, especially Saray who welcomed us at the day of our arrival and arranged the upgrade. The room is super clean, the AC is running perfectly, with all the amenities (kettle, DeLonghi coffee machine, cooler, iron ets...) The only potential flawless is that the second day (out of 7) the hotel run out of coffee...but we solve that in the first market just 50m away from the hotel. It was no problem for us... The hotel is on a prime location in Barcelona. The best restaurants are just north-west of this block and all the best shops are on Passeig de Gracia. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay in Barcelona and Sonderns attributed greatly in that!…
