Hotel was in great location and staff member was very helpful but that's about it. The room was not what it looked like in photos, small and basic. WC was atrocious, health & safety non existent. Walls paper thin, security was lacking altogether. 😔😤😞 On a brighter note did I say the location was amazing !!😎

I was expecting a shared bathroom, but my room had a sink and shower and so only the toilet was shared. Nice clean room, good location, friendly. When I needed a taxi they were happy to call one although I soon got used to flagging them down. Free wifi. No views in my room, window overlooked a courtyard but it...

If you are staying in a Pension in Barcelona the idea should be to go out explore the culture, the food and the landmarks, not to stay inside your room. With that in mind, this pension offers more than enough for the value. It has an amazing location: Few minutes from the Marina, steps away from the old neighborhood, close...

If you stay here you have to know what you're getting: an clean, cheap room in an awesome, central neighborhood. You're paying for the location (close to just about everything from the beach to Barcelona's main sights/neighborhoods), not the quality of the room. It was clean as was the bathroom (we stayed in the matrimonial suite which just means you...

We stayed in Pension Francis for three nights in March. When we arrived at the hostel we were greeted by friendly staff member, however he had very little English. We stayed in a Double room with a private bathroom. The bedroom was very small however it was very clean. The bed was comfortable, but could have done with more pillows!...

Like 1hour later i got mail saying my flight is rescheduled. I needed to change all my flghts and staying for one night in Barcelona was not needed any longer....

Maybe a classical ''you get what you pay for", this is a quite simple place to sleep. The room and bathroom was pretty small, and no place to hang out really. But thats not why you are here anyways:) No AC, which made it pretty hard to sleep the first night in this heat. There is no breakfast served, but...

Barcelona is incredibly expensive compared to most any other city in spain, especially to stay near the beach, which is worth the extra cost if you ask me. The room / hotel is very clean but very small, dated, with no ac, no elevator, all while being almost twice the cost of any other city in spain. My view was...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
