We booked a three bedroom apartment on the first floor. We are a couple so we only used the one bedroom. The apartment is located on a walking street in a great location for restaurants, the subway, tourist sites in the old town and a small grocery store. The kitchen was well equipped and the washing machine easy to operate....

We stayed one week in apartment 13. The location is excellent and seems very safe. It is close to the Jaume I metro stop and within easy walking distance for exploring the many, many places of interest in the surrounding areas of El Born, Barri Gotic, Barceloneta, etc. Although this unit is only one floor above a busy pedestrian thoroughfare,...

It is one of the few hotels/apartments whose website honestly projects the real setting of the rooms: what you see (on the website) is what you get (WYSIWYG). The location is excellent, just a stone's throw away from the Metro station, and many chic restaurants are just round the corner. Easy walk to the seaside and Barcelona Cathedral. We (a...

The apartment couldn't be in a better location - in the heart of the beautiful Gothic quarter and a minute from the Jaume metro station. This is great not only because of the ease of getting to most of the sites, but also because many recommendations for restaurants, cafes, sights are located around Jaume. So we were within walking distance...

I had planned on getting 2 hotel rooms for our family's 5-day visit to Barcelona, but fortunately found this apartment instead! 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, living room, kitchen and terrace--all for significantly less than a hotel. Very clean and well-equipped. Helpful staff on-site to answer questions, arrange taxis, etc. And the location of the apartment could not have been...

We would definitely stay here again (apartment 12 on their website). Really good location, close to loads of fab restaurants and bars, and well-positioned for all the sights - most within easy walking distance. Administration, check-in and check-out all very easy; taxi arranged by them for our departure. Apartment was spotless, all essentials were provided. If you do want to...

A tasteful, spacious modern apartment, with a receptionist located in the building to happily assist with any advice/help required. The apartment is maintained to a high standard, and although it is centrally located, it is amazingly quiet. The lift to our floor came in useful after long enjoyable days exploring Barcelona. The little extras like shower gel, soap, hair dryer...

We enjoyed our autumn holliday in Barcelona very much because of the beautiful appartment we used. We had 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a big kitchen with everything you possibly need in it. Also there was a washing machine in the biggest bathroom. Everything was very clean. It was our second visit and also the second time we booked BCNGotic...

Lovely spacious apartment with everything you need including a bath tub. The location is fabulous with great tapa bars, museums, juice bars and beaches all within walking distance. Elevator available too for those unable to use stairs. Highly recommend and very reasonable rates.

Located In the quarter el born you find everything you need around. Bars restaurants and supermarkets are very close. Even the way to the old town is in a couple of minutes walkable. The flat is clean, new and good equipped with microwave, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine etc. The best on the flat is that it is really good isolated...

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
