I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights, I am the kind of traveler who is just looking for a clean place with good bed as I stay all the day out exploring the city, this hostel gave me exactly what I needed, and as an added bonus, the staff were very friendly. I arrived early and they did early...

Stayed in this hostel last October as a young solo female traveller. Stayed in one of the women's 4 bed private dorms and it was perfect. The hostel is relatively small so perfect if you like the option for peace and quiet - but was plenty of opportunity to mingle downstairs. Rooms were incredibly clean and the bathrooms were great!...

The hotel lobby looks like a theater, I loved it! The kitchen is well-equipped, the rooms and bathrooms are okay, etc. The best in the hotel was the staff. They cooked dinner every night ( a really good one!) for just a few compensation. They came to party with us, gave a lot of advices on the city, etc. I...

I stayed in Para Teatro for 3 night and i think that it is a great Hostel for few things, the position is really good, you are near to Paral el metro station, to the Rambla and to the sea, all the guys that work in the hostel are super kind and friendly so it's easy to feel at home...

I don't love hostels. But I would hardly constitute this as a hostel. I was here for three days and it felt like a family. They gave amazing recommendations, but even further, they made sure you had an excellent time outside of the hostel. If you can stay here, do it. I have never given a revue on tripadvisor, and...

Can't say a bad word about this place. Stayed in a 6 person dorm. I made some good friends with people sharing my room. The common room is a great place just to hang out and meet people. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. Special thanks to Irish Mike for making the trip memorable. There's also nice kitchen...

I had an amazing experience in this hostel. The location is excellent if you are planning on going to the beach. The decoration is really pretty and is really clean. What makes it totally worth it is the staff, they are really nice and helpful with everything you need. If you are a solo traveler as me this is the...

okay, I'll be really honest... this is a really nicely decorated place... right out of pinterest. if you're looking for a place to party look no further! if you're not, I'd recommend not staying in a dorm... or perhaps staying somewhere else. "party favors" of all sorts were visibly floating around here, and it wasn't uncommon to have people sleeping...

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Teatro Hostel is the best place to take an unforgettable vacation in Barcelona. We have recently reopened the hostel with a new concept of a vintage design furnished with old and typical Theater objects from different places of the world. The hostel is in a great central location next to the port of Barcelona, just five minutes walk from La Rambla and Barri Gotic and 15 minutes to the main beach Barceloneta. We have a free daily walking tour as well as a free city map and best tips of what to do in Barcelona. Like the surrounding area, such as sightseeing, transport, restaurants, nightlife, bike tours and more. You can hang out in our big lounge where you can meet people, make friends, chat, relax, watch a movie, play guitar or even have a game of chess and share some beers with our friendly staff. Our accommodation is for those who know how to share with other travellers in a happy city like Barcelona without any disruptive behaviour. Around us, you will find some of the best places to go out, with all the hippest and coolest bars, clubs and restaurants. Sun, paella, beach, football, art, culture, nightlife and more...You know you want to! Please note that we don't permit guests older than 45 years of age. ... more   less
