1882 is ideally located to some of the most iconic sights in Barcelona. However, it is an outstanding property for those who need accessible accommodations. Their conscientious staff were supportive of working with members of our disabled tour group to ensure all aspects of our staff was pleasing and comfortable. The accessible rooms featured roll in showers, roll under sinks and radius space for toilet transfers. Beds were at an appropriate height. The only disappointment was the height of the clothes hanger system.

It was our first trip to Barcelona and also Radisson Blu 1882 Hotel, Barcelona Sagrada Familia. We stayed here for 4 nights in October 2023.

Our room was a Premium Deluxe Room, we stayed on floor 6 out of a total of 7 floors. The room was large and spacious, the bathroom was in a partially open plan. The room had no balcony, but opening balcony doors to a "French" balcony variant. The beds were of the slightly harder version, but we slept well. The whole room was every day clean and well cleaned. A/C (air conditioning) worked well and provided good coolness in the room. What was perhaps a little surprising about our room was that many of the lamps were partially broken and some had partially detached from the wall, even a coat hanger that was mounted on the wall. Otherwise, the room was satisfactory.

Breakfast was served one floor down -1 from ground level. It was a good breakfast, assortment and the possibility to order from a chef who prepared, among other things, omelette, etc. The penthouse (floor 7) offered a nice view of the Sagrada Familia, here there was also a pool with sunbeds and an outdoor shower. There was also a bar here that also served food. Very nice that they had all that in the hotel. The bar in the reception/lobby was nice and there was plenty of seating.

The hotel is very close to the Sagrada Familia, but it is roughly 20 minutes from, among other things, the main shopping street and 30 min from the old town. But it depends a little on how fast you go of course. But it works well to walk around the central parts of Barcelona. There are also buses, subways and many taxis if you don't want to walk all the time. We were down at the port, which is easily reached by walking through the old town.

The staff were consistently pleasant, helpful and gave us a good service. We can warmly recommend the Radisson Blu 1882 Hotel, Barcelona Sagrada Familia!

The Radisson Blu Sagrada Familia hotel is a little treasure of a hotel. Despite being part of a big chain, the hotel had a boutique feel, was in a great location and offered a little bit of tranquility in a city. The rooms are excellent and even provide a diffuser attachment for the hairdryer - a rareity but important for those with curly hair!

On night prior to day of departure we told staff at reception that we leave at next day morning at 6-50 AM as we have flight to Abudhabi at 9-45 AM and asked how we will have breakfast which we have booked along with room , the staff said he would tell his colleague to open the restaurant 10 minutes earlier . But next day morning at 6-40 AM when we came to the reception there was another staff at reception who when inquired about restaurant and breakfast he said rudely that it is not possible and the restaurant will open at 7 AM so we left without breakfast though we had paid for it while booking room . The previous night the staff at reception could have suggested for packed breakfast facility which could have availed . Similar service of packed breakfast we had availed in Hotel NH Madrid Ribera del Manzanares at Madrid . Moreover at lunch in resturant in Radissons Barcelona we got only one item of codfish to eat , no other variety of fish was available , items for lunch were very few there being one item of fish apart from one item of beef and one item of tofu in main course . Apart from above rude behaviour of staff at reception on 5 th December morning , the staff were helpful and taxis were easily available outside the hotel and location of hotel is very good .and breakfast had good spread of continental food .

No wonder this place has won a Traveller’s Choice award!

From the moment we stepped into the building we were made to feel extremely welcome. Jesus checked us in and was informative, helpful and superbly professional. We had arrived early and he accommodated us with early check in - nothing was too much trouble.

Room was lovely and spacious with well designed hanging space. Excellent amenities and facilities.

Pool was too chilly for us (March weather) but a nice area to sit and relax none the less.

Gym was a sanctuary space open all hours, so gave much more flexibility to the visit. The cardio equipment is older Technogym spec, but well maintained. My only (and small gripe) was that there is only 1 combo weight machine and the free weights only went up to 14kg. But still, a great space to use during the vacation.

Originally we hadn’t booked breakfast, but we added it in - SO GLAD WE DID! Best meals of the trip were the breakfasts at the hotel! Sumptuous selections of hot and cold foods as well as chef prepared area and amazing pastries.

Our return flight was late in the evening, so upon checkout, they graciously extended the stay and then we paid a bit extra for a further extension. After that, the team still allowed us to store our bags and use the upper deck/pool area - which we did for a bit, but then made our way to the bar for some stylish drinks before heading off.

A truly lovely stay, incredible hospitality from every member of staff.

If we ever came back to Barcelona, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We loved the location of the hotel as it is not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Ramblas. La Sagrada Familia is within walking distance. The neighborhood is quieter and much more pristine as well as quite safe. With the very inexpensive taxi in Barcelona everything is easily accessible, as well as by bus and metro. The rooms facing the courtyard are quiet, those facing the street unfortunately not (due to the installation of the windows). Nevertheless, it is quieter than in the center. Hotel beds are great as not sagged as unfortunately often in other hotels. Service at reception was excellent. We had an issue to clarify and we were helped immediately. Our rooms were clean and the cleaning service also top.

The proximity to the cathedral is excellent and it's beautiful to walk around it at night when it's all lit up. Most of the restaurants we wanted to go to were in El Raval and the Gothic Quarter so it was a longish walk (there are always taxis in front of the hotel). There is a decent gluten free tapas restaurant close by though. A lot of the restaurants near the cathedral are big time tourist traps with mediocre food. The hotel checked all the boxes for my essential basics of good lodging - clean room (the rooms are quite large for European hotel rooms so no tripping over your suitcase all the time), very comfortable bed with spotless linens, decent shower pressure, and a user-friendly design that includes hooks, shelves, etc. to help keep stuff organized. If you're sharing a room with someone the glassed in shower and glassed in toilet don't feel particularly private. I wouldn't characterize the room as super memorable but that's not necessary for me to have a pleasant stay. The multi-lingual front desk staff were lovely although we didn't need to interact with them a lot as we were out quite a bit. Would I stay again? Probably not unless I was going to be spending more time at the cathedral because the neighborhood wasn't as interesting or engaging as some of the other barrios.

The front desk here is exceptional. I had a tough time sleeping the first night. Even though we were on the fifth floor, the scooters in the morning were loud enough to wake us. We are VERY light sleepers, though. Valentina took the time to show us some quieter options and kindly upgraded us so we might sleep better. She was gracious and unhesitating. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were perfect for a side sleeper, and the location was perfect for us. We were able to get around easily on foot. Our five nights there were restful and quiet. Side note to anyone who may make this their home base for a week or so——there is a very easy to operate laundromat right across from the hotel. “Splash” is clean and detergent is included in the washer, so you just put clothes in and scan your credit card. Wash and dry took a total of 50 minutes. The half hour of wash happened while we went to the grocery store that is also very close by. All in all, we loved this place.

We spent three nights in this hotel. We enjoyed the perfect location next to the Sagrada Familia obviously but not very far from Güell Park and not so far from the city center either. So we can do everything on foot what we did. The hotel is very comfortable, the staff very welcoming. And we enjoyed the very accessible parking and can accommodate cars of a reasonable size.
I noticed a flaw: of the three breakfasts we ate in this hotel three times the eggs and scrambled eggs were cold. This is due to the fact that the installation is poorly designed with a single heating lamp Located between the two dishes. In my opinion, this installation needs to be modified technically.

Beautiful and well-kept structure. already at first impact you feel a pleasant welcome due to the very good but not exaggerated perfume as in other hotels. At the check, if you are lucky you will meet Jesus, a very professional and kind guy. The large and well-kept room is enriched with some design elements. The breakfast is varied and of quality with very friendly and smiling staff. the hot cook on 03/22 prepared some very good eggs and mushrooms. the room manager, always smiling and courteous, took care of the replenishments non-stop. good boy! I write this review before checking out because even if I had to pay everything back in full ... it would be worth it. highly recommended

It varies! I’ve stayed here 3 times and all the bathroom were different style! One was a tub with shower head. Another room on the next trip was standing shower in very private bathroom. The third time it was sort of see through but not completely clear glass so allowed some privacy, this was the smallest room they offer and the bed was next to shower basically.

where have you seen this? because I do not remember a free shuttle on either of my recent stays... the metro stop is about a 7 minute walk and that would be the least expensive way to get there...
