The location is incredible. It's close to two metro stations and most of the major attractions. There is no lack of great restaurants and tapas bars within walking distance. Be aware that there is no reception desk. It is pretty much an apartment with rooms rented out. You need to be exact about when you will arrive. The rooms are...

So we arrive at the hostel, there's no one at the reception. The cleaning lady let us in. As we entered our room which was extremely small for 3 people, one of the beds wasn't made! We asked the cleaning lady to make our bed and she just walked away! So we had to make our own bed! Then the...

Traveled with my sister. Pleased with location and price. Up a few flights of stairs, which would be tricky if you have a lot of luggage or are disabled. Manager very helpful and friendly, fluent in English. Quiet accommodations with pleasant guests. Our room had 2 single beds and a window that opened onto a window well. Floor fan provided...

I had a great experience at this hostel and I highly recommend it when you travel to Barcelona. The hostel's greatest strength is its staff, who were both friendly and professional. They were always helpful and generous with information about the city. Also, my stay was a bit longer than most travelers, and they showed a great deal of kindness...

The bathroom was huge! There are 2 of them and one is bigger than the other and the hostel itself only has 6 rooms so you never feel cramped. The location is very central, in the Gothic Quarter, which makes it easy for sightseeing. The best part is that it is still a fairly quiet location. There was a computer...

Have just spent 6 nights staying at the Blue Hostel in the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona. The location is excellent with bars and restaurants downstairs and about a 5 minute walk to La Rambla. Lots of shops around and very easy to get around. Luis, the hostel owner, is very easy going and informative. The rooms are small but comfortable....

The hostel was amazing! very clean, great location near all kind of nightlife: relaxing, not that relaxing, party, chill, etc. So if you are looking for a price-value deal to sleep in Barcelona I would recommend this place 100%. The crew was really kind and took care of every need that I might have. If I ever come back to...

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

We are a brand new hostel with a different concept, small but with big and comfortable rooms. You will absolutely feel at home because it’s really quiet and silent. The building is a modernist palace situated in the centric “Gótico” district and the best thing of all, it’s only two blocks from the famous “Rambla”. Blue is in the very center of the 'Movida'...that is mean.. in the center of Nigthlife spot.Close to the hostal (5 minute-walk) you can find the best turistic attractions of town like the “Plaza Real”, Museums, the cathedral of Barcelona. The beach, “Arc Del Triumph' and the “Liceu” theatre you can find them within 15 minutes. As well as the Picasso museum, “Port Vell” and the Colon promenade. ... more   less
