We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and while it was not large it was more than adequate. Just a hint on the room. We were lucky to have a balcony fronting the road but it did seem noisy. We discovered 2 almost hidden sliding doors behind the main...

When I saw hostal I immediately thought shared dorms & shared bathroom, but it isn't. It's more like serviced rooms. Not quite a hotel, but not far off. And to be honest the difference in price from a 'proper' hotel & this, considering the facilities we had (& those we would use e.g. not paying for a swimming pool that...

Good morning, I think you made a confusion with another Hostal as you never stayed at Hostal Barcelona Centro. We are not theives and it would be good to think twice before posting such outrageous comments. Jean Lassus

I have stayed at the Hostal Barcelona Centro three times now. It is in a great location, very close to Placa Catalunya (you can walk there from the Aerobus stop.) The rooms are very basic, but extremely clean. The best thing is the wonderful staff - Jean, Alejandro (I think) and the young woman who I don't know her name...

The location is very central, excellent and close to many attractions. One can easily reach by foot Casa Batllo, La Rambla, Plaza Catalunya and nearby attractions. The rooms are clean with a mini-fridge, A/C and an en suite bathroom. It is basic but good. I recommend it as a budget hotel. The downside to this hotel is that since it...

we've stayed here for our Barcelona trip - and the place is good, very helpful staff, good location. It might be tricky in summertime, as the street is noisy all the day and closing a window means necessity to use AC.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

“Our room 502 was on the side of the hotel that had some noisy late night patrons. This was in part because we kept our windows open at night at the air conditioning seemed to shut down after midnight. Yes it was surprisingly very warm the first part of Nov with temps around 24 during the day.”
