a little hidden gem on ramblas 30 seconds to the middle of Ramblas on a little side street, great location 5 mins from starbucks! Historic 18th century stunning building stunning building stayed with my brother before we did a Virgin cruise which was also awesome! staff very good and attentive I had emailed a few days before regarding twin rooms as staying with my brother and he addressed it as soon as I checked in and told it was sorted :) had a terrace room was lovely private balcony small rooftop pool and eclectic rooftop bar
This is one of Barcelona’s great buildings, modernista decoration, wonderful breakfast room with Sirenas (mermaids). Comfortable modern bedroom, very quiet. The best location of any hotel that we have stayed at. Rooftop bar, but no real view. Dining is very expensive so we ate out. Excellent front room service. Main drawback is lack of a lounge for guests
Fab hotel in an excellent location just metres away from the busy Rambles. The hotel is beautiful with lots of Art Deco. Would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel. The breakfast is a buffet style with enough choice. We stayed in a room that had a large terrace outside which was great.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Rooms are small my children had an upgraded twin room as they didn’t want to sleep together in a double bed and their room was a better size. All staff welcoming and great to have a dip in the rooftop pool. We had no problems with the taxi dropping us off/picking us up outside the hotel.
This was not our first visit to Barcelona, but our first stay at this hotel. We would definitely recommend and return to this facility. Although we arrived early for check-in, we were able to go directly to our room, which was much appreciated after a long flight from Canada. Our travelling companions were meeting us the following day but I had received an email on our ride from the airport to the hotel saying that their reservation at another hotel nearby was inexplicably cancelled without explanation. I quickly sent them our hotel info, and they were able to reserve a room without delay. The front desk staff were ALL very professional, friendly, and were quick to assist with dinner reservations, arranging taxicabs, and able to answer any questions we had. No need to remember any individual, as they were all fantastic. In the mornings we would pass the maid in the hall, and she, too, was always friendly and greeted us with a smile. Our reservation included breakfast. The buffet had everything we could have wished for: Hot dishes including eggs and sausage, fruits, cheeses, cold meats, cereal, bread/toast, pastries, juices and various hot beverages. Food was replenished as needed, with plenty available. We enjoyed drinks one evening at the rooftop bar. Very relaxing. There was a small plunge pool on the roof as well, but it was a little cool for use (we did see one brave guest using it, though). Our room had a lovely bathroom, comfortable bed, a sofa and a Juliette balcony that overlooked the street below. Noise was not a problem. When the balcony door was shut, it was soundproof. Location was perfect: about half-way up La Rambla, and about one city block down a side street. Close enough to feel like you were in the middle of the action, but far enough removed to avoid the noise that can happen on La Rambla. Thank you for providing us with a great start to our first post-covid vacation!…
A historical gem at a great location, this hotel has everything for a pleasant visit to Barcelona. Friendly staff, great breakfast and a clean, well maintained property. Tomek is a great asset at the front desk, like a conductor of a great orchestra.
Excellent Hotel, which although situated in small side street, within 80 metres from "Ramblas" within easy reach of Resturants, Shopping outlets and Central Market Area with many stalls selling things from seafood to nuts. This Hotel has excellent rooms, dining area. Staff are very helpful. Hotel is very well maintained.
Stayed one night before our cruise from Barcelona - wish it had been longer! Super friendly welcome from Oscar who pointed us to the rooftop bar for live music and a casual dinner, which was excellent. I had room 314 which was nicely laid out with a great bathroom. Really quirky place, would recommend
Good breakfast and staff polite and friendly but the location is very good because you are in the heart of the city of Barcelona and everything is walkable. Rooms small and the little pool is very cute.
Though the street isn’t the most desirable, the rooms and food are outstanding. We stayed three nights and wished we had book four. Benny the bartender was able to secure us a dinner reservation at the lovely Fonda España. We had a 13 course tasting menu, along with wine pairings for about $150 per person. May possibly be my all time favorite gourmet meal. Service was a bit slow, but I was fine with that. Superb!
