Booked two nights there for a birthday break having read tripadvisor reviews and definitely wasn't disappointed. We loved the room; spacious, enough cupboard space, nice chrome and white tile bathroom with a lovely rainfall shower, hair dryer with a decent motor, nice and quiet even though we faced the road, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Great location: 10 mins walk from...

I just spent 5 nights at Hotel Granvia. The hotel is in a perfect location for walking all over the city. There were 6 of us and we had two family rooms that were perfect. The beds were huge, tons of closet space ( all girls so we needed lots of room for hanging up clothes and shoes!). There is...

We really enjoyed the hotel. It was not too far of a walk to the Rambla and close to a number of great restaurants and shopping district. The hotel was quiet even though we had a 2nd floor room next to a busy street. We booked online and got a great price. We would definitely use this hotel when we...

Two nights here pre-cruise. I echo what others have said about how good it is - loved the location, helpful staff, good breakfast. We enjoyed the court yard. Our room was spotless, comfortable, plenty of space ( we were in a superior room, I think - $259 per night through Hotels.com). I highly recommend this hotel

We like quiet hotels! You see, we live in the middle of the countryside and although it's great to visit a city, it's sometimes difficult for us "country bumpkins" to nod off at night. So to find an elegant, peaceful hotel where when one asks for a quiet room, that's exactly what one gets, is a real treat. Our stay...

Hotel Granvia is centrally located near the Plaza de Catalunya. Easy access to busses and metro. Walking distance to shops & restaurants. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. The only drawback was the doors were not sealed very well and you could hear everything in the hallway. Breakfast was very good. Our first day...

In mid-September my wife and I stayed in the Hotel Granvia for 4 nights making it our base for exploring the various sights in Barcelona. We found the location to be terrific as it was very close to the metro and the must see sites in the Eixample, and within walking distance to the Born and Gothic areas. Although the...

The hotel is situated in a very good place close to all the main attractions. The style of the furnishing is really fashion and the rooms are very clean and quiet. The receptionist can be more welcoming.

Hotel Granvia is a beautiful hotel within walking distance of the Rambla, Sagrada Familia and a host of restaurants and shops. The hotel is very elegant with beautifully decorated common areas. The outdoor terrace was a great space to spend a couple of hours relaxing after sightseeing all day. We booked a premium room which was very large with a...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
