Well, the receptionist was a pleasant guy, but his english was worse than mine, so we had trouble comunnicating. Shower and wc were dirty as hell, the dishes as well. Our room was pretty good, but then came the night and we thought we would die frozen. There were no info that it would be the room with paper walls.... More

We spent one night there... And it was enough. No way to sleep as our room was located on the street side (it's like sleeping directly on the side of a highway basically). Room was more or less clean but the rest... Kitchen was absolutely disgusting : the sink was probably clogged so there was some dirty rotten water in... More

Stayed here 30th of June - 3rd of July. Didn't book the actual hostel dormitory room but went for the double room with a shared bathroom option. The room was clean and had a coffee table, a chair and a bed. The shared bathroom was clean too. Haven't used a kitchen or breakfast facilities so can not comment. p.s. There... More

The hostel security is terrible - doors won't lock, lockers all have the same key and are easily opened, anyone can access the rooms. I was robbed while staying at the hostel, as were other people in my dorm. Staff wasn't helpful at all, and wasn't supportive. In addition, they double charged me for the stay (though apologised later) The... More

We arrived 30 minutes after the check in time because our flight had been delayed 2 hours, nobody would open the door for us and when we finally got in our room had been given away we were without a place to stay at 3am. Would have been nice to at least let us know our room was given away.

1. We were not able to open the window, because of the smell (airless, smoking, etc). In this case, I recommend a MAIN STREET ROOM, if possible! 2. Our room (a private one) was near the common bath. I had to listen to every one vomiting during the night. 3. The sheets were not clean at all! 4. The breakfast... More

The worst hostel I ever been to!!!Came in a bit earlier than check in time, the person who was working there ( a man, probably the manager) told me to get out of the hostel until check In time. Was ridiculously rude when I asked if I can just sit inside the building since I was tired and didn't have... More

The hostel was mediocre, the truth be said. But the huge disadvantage was the service. I stayed there for 4 nights. The owner was extremely rude, didn't answer to any questions and kept trying to fend us off the common area and kitchen saying things like: "it's too late" or "too early" or "the kitchen is not for use now" and... Without doubt the worst hostel we stayed on our travels round Europe. We arrived knackered after a long train journey from France and on our arrival there seemed to be noone about. We had to call a phone number left on a note on the door for someone from outside to let us in. We were rudely shown to our... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
