I booked Circa 1905 on the back of reviews on here and I definitely was NOT disappointed. The staff are extremely helpful and give you plenty of information for things to do, where to eat and where to drink all over Barcelona. And the hotel itself is just stunning, lovely old building with an incredibly comfortable bed, we had a...

Room was very quiet and dark for sleeping, with a very comfortable bed. Staff were extremely helpful enabling us to leave baggage before we checked-in and after we checked-out. Staff also gave a recommendation for a fabulous vegetarian restaurant nearby. Breakfast was included and the quality and range was great. Loved our little street-view terrace. This is a very classy...

Tonight is the last of 5 night stay with my two children. The location has no comparison. Between Passeig de Gracia and Rambla de la Cataluyna in the classy Eixample district. Surrounded by great restaurants and stores just a block away from Diagonal Metro Station. The property itself has no comparison either. It’s a B&B on a second floor (with...

We recently spent 4 nights at this wonderful little hotel for our first visit to Barcelona. I chose it for its charm, location and great reviews. They were spot on. It is a beautiful building with high ceilings and decorated with antiques yet very comfortable. It has a lot of character and puts you in the mood for the marvelous...

Loved the huge magnolia tree in the courtyard. Staff were just delightful and extremely helpful. Bathroom clean, (only shower). It is very well priced with Breakfast included. Property is surrounded by excellent...

What an amazing place. This boutique B&B feels exclusive and exciting, but is also so comfortable and friendly. Perfectly located, it’s quiet but still in the heart of things. It was perfect from start to finish. The attention to detail was amazing, and the staff so helpful and offering great advise The terrace was beautiful for breakfast, and whist we...

Recommend by friends who have stayed here twice and what a great choice. It was our first time in Barcelona and we would return and most definitely stay here. Just a beautiful, peaceful and romantic place to spend our honeymoon

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful boutique hotel while in Barcelona. We couldn't be happier with the location, the great room and the excellent service and friendliness. The bed was great and our room was toward the back. We enjoyed breakfast in our balcony every morning.

This is exactly the sort of accommodation we always search for, whenever we travel. There is no crowded, impersonal reception; there are no standard, hotel bedroom layouts, with the same ol' boring furniture; no crowded, canteen-like breakfast room; and no long corridors to get lost in. This is small, cosy, full of character and excellently staffed. The service is personal,...

Warning...you need to climb a few stairs to reach the elevator to the first floor where you will find this slightly quirky, but exceptionally welcoming small B&B. It is worth the climb for sure! Circa 1905 is 8 bedrooms and a few common rooms....decorated in original 1905-era furniture (but for a very comfortable bed!) Tile floors cool the feet, and...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
