i'm from the usa. this place was good in all respects except it was a little compact. maybe that is standard for many hotels in europe? we slept well and they did not seem to be doing any construction across the street even though the...More
Only stay here if you get a great deal, attending a conference or want to be close to the beach.
Not very clean, no tea/coffee making facilities and not great staff. No pool, wi-fi,beach towels, bathroom extractor fan..
And not cheap.
My friend and I are just back from 4 nights at this lovely hotel and it truly made our holiday. The room was large with comfy beds, amazing air conditioning (well needed in the Barcelona summer heat!) and a secure safety deposit box free of...More
Just got back from a four night break. The hotel was nice although the room was a little dated. Luckily we took a travel kettle as read some reviews before we went and knew that there wasn't one in the room. It did have a...More
I cannot wait but write a review for this hotel. In general, this hotel deserve at most 3 stars. The public area is nice but the room is tasteless.

The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of
activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.

There is no airport shuttle service, we paid for a 3 day underground pass which was well worth it. But it is about a 15 minute walk to the hotel a bit of a haul if you have got a lot of baggage, hope this helps

For a relaxing drink just come out of the door turn left and about 50 yards away are about 5 bars/restaurants in a row. Food is decent and a selection of drinks. For partying I would suggest getting taxis into town as they are pretty cheap. You can take the metro at Poblenou but probably a 6-10 minute walk depending how fast you walk. Was there for Primavers Sound Festival so no idea whay the nightlife is like in central Barcelona I'm afraid.
