While this hotel was 4 Star Spanish style (i.e. I don't think it would be ranked as such in Ireland due to the decor and fact its quite outdated) the staff would make me come back in a heartbeat. I was in Barcelona for work and had the good fortune to be put up in this hotel for one night....

A very well located Hotel. Very near a good beach. Only 10minutes from the metro at Poblenou. The 41 bus stop, to the centre of Barcelona, was only a couple of minutes down the street. The open topped Bus Turistic stopped nearby also. An hours walk along the sea front brought you into the heart of Barcelona. The area felt...

Initially, I was very concerned about the hotel after reading reviews of this hotel, especially for the price that we had paid. I stayed at the hotel with 3 friends for a week August ’11, the hotel is in a nice and quiet location away from the “tourist traffic”. The hotel itself is very clean and filled with staff that...

Excellent hotel, nice location, close to beach and restaurants at olimpic port. Bit further to main centre of Barcelona (La Ramblas etc), but a nice walk (approx 1 hour max). (Some excellent restauants in the small streets behind the hotel). Second year in a row at this hotel and again the service was first class, staff very friendly, very helpful...

We were a bit disappointed with this hotel. The front desk staff was pretty cold. Our room was small. The hairdryer and mini-fridge were both broken and the mattress was the hardest I've ever slept on. The whole hotel is very outdated. Their services (laundry, breakfast, Internet) were also fairly pricey. I would NOT rate this as a 4-star hotel....

Hotel was good value. Quite basic. Seems to be aimed at business people. There was a tiny bar with nobody drinking there so we went elsewhere which wasnt a big deal. Rooms were comfortable with good air con. Bed was fine. Tv was not working properly. Signal was poor. the walls are also paper thin so you are likely to...

Beautiful hotel with wide expansion. My sweetheart was so happy I can't simply tell you. They have thought of their customers so well I simply can't define their perfectness. To our amazement there was free complimentary wine drinks chilled ready on our table with some eatables. It is located in a very good place. Just a walk away there is...

The hotel is clean, smart and comfortable. We got a deal for £60/night B&B for a 3 night stay and it was excellent value for money. The self serve breakfast was wide ranging wih hot & cold selections and ran from 7-10am so was never overly busy. We didn't eat there in the evening but they have a menu del...

Spent two nights in this hotel before going on a cruise, we had a nice room on the side with views over the sea and along the coast. Room was clean, comfortable and bright. Reception staff were exceptionally helpful, pleasant and took time to assist with directions and information, providing maps, leaflets etc. Although hotel is quite a bit out...

Staying in Poblenou

Neighbourhood Profile
Poblenou
The futuristic Agbar Tower stands out from Barcelona's skyline in Poblenou. It is no coincidence then that this area of town is the newly crowned technological park of the city, its own mini Silicon Valley containing a tech incubator (Barcelona Activa) as well as a host of local and international high tech companies. To accommodate the onrush of new residents and workers, the area of Poblenou has seen a surge of activity in new high-rise residential buildings and two top-notch shopping centres catering to everyone's need. The ambiance of this area is calmer than the city center and the beautifully relaxing Bogatell Beach, popular with locals, is just a handful of blocks away.
