This was the first time I had gone on holidays with just myself and my 15 year old daughter. As a result I was a bit apprehensive but this hotel was fantastic! Our room was available “early” hours before the official check in time! We arrived in a hot mess after walking the extremely hot streets of Barcelona (heat wave) pulling our suitcases and so arrived sweaty, messy hair, not in bets of moods. Yet we where greeted professionally and warmly by the reception staff. Check in only took a few minutes and Before I knew it we where in our air conditioned room.
It’s the “small things” that make a great stay! This hotel is excellent at these “small things” that truly made us feel happy/welcomed. For example, our room ALREADY had the air conditioning switched on before we entered the room as a result the room was lovely and cool. There was water and juice in the room mini bar which was “included” in the price of the room. So we had instant access to cold water/juice for free! The room had lots of towels in the bathroom! The room was very quiet (even though our view was of the street) I think the rooms must be soundproof as we heard no noise at all and we stayed on a busy Friday-Saturday. There is a free rooftop pool that is a good size and has towels freely available. I thought the pool would be “full” but it was never full and instead it was a relaxing space that only every contained one other couple and myself and daughter.
We also used the roof top bar, no need to wait in line as front row chairs instantly available, with fantastic views. The young lady who served us was very sweet and we enjoyed our drinks and views. The area the hotel is situated in felt very safe, it is surrounded by high end shops and there are plenty of places to find something to eat. All of the staff we encountered in the hotel where very polite, friendly and professional at all times. This is a modern hotel, with fantastic service and fantastic facilities. It is excellent value for a hotel in Barcelona and I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is nice, the room we were in was also quite nice, and the restaurant has a great rooftop view of Barcelona. However when we arrived we were informed quite confidently that our room rate did not include breakfast. I had booked several months in advance through Aeroplan points and couldn’t remember if the booked rate included breakfast or not, so I assumed if they found my reservation on their system and it stated no breakfast then that must be the case. Also, when I checked out I was told that there was no record of a pre-payment (even though I had booked with points). I couldn’t leave until I paid my balance. Now at this point I thought there must definitely be something wrong. On my way to the airport I was able to dig up my email confirmation that confirmed that not only did my rate include breakfast but it was pre-paid! I forwarded that email to the hotel management and asked them to refund the double charge. They did, but did not offer anything for the fact that their staff erroneously made us buy our own breakfasts for the duration of our stay, thus inconveniencing us. To be fair, that incident isn’t enough to reduce the hotel’s star rating any further, and the hotel itself is quite nice. However their reservation systems and perhaps employee training/service need some work.

The location is excellent. This is a really nice hotel, and the roof top bar and restaurant whilst not cheap offer a pretty good selection of food and drinks - but an even better view. The front desk staff are good, and there always seemed to be a porter on hand to help if needed. The Elevators are cool - but during our stay one of them stopped working, and this caused a bit of consternation , as the hotel was busy, and one elevator was just not doing the job.
As i said the location is excellent, there are so many high end shops (if that is your thing), or a short wander will find you in the back streets with LOTS of wonderful restaurants. Also another great advantage, is you can catch the excellent Hop on Hop of buses - the Bus stops very close. We were able to get a late check out of our room which was fantastic, however this couldn't be confirmed until the day we checked out, which was a bit irksome, but understandable as the hotel needs to work out what capacity they have on the day. We would have no hesitation is staying here again, good modern room, great air con, excellent bathrooms (just a small leak in the shower ,as the glass doors needed adjusting) but not a major issue, we had a balcony - small but good to be able to step outside/open up the room. Not a budget place , but still consider it very good value for the money.

I asked for a quiet Condal room, and was given one overlooking the internal atrium. Although there was no street noise, at night I could hear a voice from another room, and furniture being dragged about in the terrace bar on the floor above, but not loud enough to keep me awake. The room wasn’t quite what I had hoped for. The bed was two Singles pushed together, and instead of being joined by a sheet to make a Double, they were made up separately. Complimentary slippers were provided, but no robe. The room safe was too small for my laptop, so I had to ask Reception staff to lock it up every morning. The bathroom had abundant tablets of soap, but no soap-dish. The shower door dripped water onto the bathroom floor if inadvertently sprayed with water. On the plus side, WiFi was fast and reliable, and the room fridge was stocked with complimentary water and fruit juice every day. Reception and lobby staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful, and problems were attended to immediately. My room was thoroughly cleaned and freshened after I reported an unfortunate encounter with a cockroach in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet offered many choices, and despite being lactose-intolerant and on a low-sodium diet, I always found plenty to eat. The hotel is superbly located, near La Pedrera, and there was always a taxi when I needed one.

I visited Barcelona with family and we had the most amazing stay here. Our flight was delayed 3 times so by the time we finally got here we were exhausted. We were met with the kindest staff from the moment we arrived. They unloaded our luggage straight from the curb and we had a quick and lovely check in.
We got great recommendations from the concierge on where to eat and they gifted us a coupon for their rooftop bar (which had amazing food and drinks). They even made a reservations for us so we wouldn't have to wait at the restaurants we visited. Our room was cleaned daily and they provided fresh water and juice everyday for free in the room. We opted in for the breakfast and they always had a variety of options and it was pretty tasty.
The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay and were always extremely kind to us. They truly made our visit to Barcelona unforgettable and we are even planning a trip back to Spain just to stay here again. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

The hotel is located in the newer part of the city, in the shopping district and easily accessible to the metro and taxis on the street.
There is a bevy of staff in the small reception area trying to be helpful with the door and luggage. Check in was efficiently handled.
The room is well furnished though a bit compact. I had a view of the side street from my window. The highlight was the thoughtful placement of lights, alcoves and charging points. Well designed I must say.
Bathroom had a tepid shower - should be improved. And for the extreme compact size of the bathroom, the separating outward opening doors for the western closet and shower and basin areas were a bit problematic.
Breakfast was nice, good spread and choices. Not included in the room price (astronomical during MWc) and they can be more transparent about this as well. But the breakfast is recommended.

I stayed at Hotel Condes de Barcelona for 7 nights, expecting a certain level of quality given the high price. Unfortunately, the negative experiences far outweighed the few positives.
Pros:
✅ Great central location – Perfect for exploring Barcelona.
✅ Nice rooftop bar with a beautiful view over the city.
Cons:
❌ Key cards are a disaster! – The key cards barely work. I had to reactivate them at reception multiple times a day (at least 5-6 times!) just to access my room and use the elevator. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel in this price range.
❌ Noise from construction work – There are renovations happening in a store on the ground floor. The drilling and hammering start as early as 9 AM and last until 5-6 PM. It can get extremely loud, making relaxation impossible.

There is a coffee maker, aircon, plenty of high quality bathroom products that were replaced daily, a fridge with two small bottles of complimentary water each day and a safe. The hotel offers a rooftop restaurant and bar with a stunning view of Barcelona, including Casa Milà and Sagrada Familia. The drinks were excellent, and the food was acceptable if nothing special. Of course, the view comes with a price, but this is to be expected and isn’t out of proportion.
There is a small outdoor swimming pool on the floor below with nice views as well. Unfortunately, it closed already at 8, probably due to noise reasons.
All in all, it’s hard to imagine a better hotel for the price. We hope to return!

We had a two night stay in February 2024, the hotel was easy to find and well located on the main shopping street (directly opposite Gucci). Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, well light and a good temperature. Pleasant surprise that the smellies in the room were Rituals 😊 well stocked toiletries including a razor, toothbrush etc. great rooftop bar that serves food and drink all day - slightly pricer than other bars but great views of the Sagrada Familia and one of Gaudis houses. The only let down was the refreshment tray; cheap and tasteless tea and coffee sachets and no biscuits!

We have never stayed at the NH Collection Barcelona Podium but have stayed at Condes De Barcelona which was excellent. It is in what must be one of tge best locations and the room we had (actually upgraded to a suite) was great. We were only there for 1 night without breakfast but would certainly stay there again.
The hotel is a 3min walk (190 meters) across the street and one block South East along Passeig de Gràcia from the amazing house Casa Milà, aka La Pedrera, built by architect Antoni Gaudí's. The Blue hop-on-off bus stops there.
Yes the rooftop bar is open and there shouldn't be a problem having a teenager with you. Enjoy
