This hotel is exactly what you should get for a three star. Perfect location and a clean, nice room to lay your head. The hotel was central and walkable to many sights. Also, easy access to the metro. Staff was very friendly and spoke English....More
We stayed in this hotel for four nights at the end of June. The location of this hotel cannot be beat -- right in the historic city centre next to the cathedral. We were only a 10 to 15-minute walk away from the main shopping...More
Just returned from 5 days at Regencia Colon. Fantastic location, on the 4th floor, good place to be, had a partial view of cathedral. A bit noisy due to some building work nearby, but after all the sight seeing and a few bottles of wine...More

With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local
musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

I was able to leave luggage there so I expect that you will be able to leave your luggage at the hotel. Reception will order a taxi for you if you ask them. There's someone there all the time I think. Las Ramblas is no more than 5 min walk, but just be aware that Ramblas is a tourist trap. For what it's worth, I think walking around the Gothic (old) quarter where the hotel is located, and El Born (also very nearby) is far more interesting.
