Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
The building is old so dont expect the most luxurius stay. The rooms are clean and the Service is really great. The guys at the reception will help you with everything you need. Ask for good suggestions out of the Tourist Areas and they deliver!

We visited in June. This hotel is extremely well located and fairly priced. The rooms are basic but big so very convenient for us with kids.we also got connecting rooms. The breakfast was decent too.Old property.

On sunday night we went to bed and it was raining....More
No frills, no nonsense hotel really close to all the action. In a gorgeous old building, containing elevators for those heavy bags and provided a generous breakfast. Easy walk around the city or to connect with subway or buses.

I agree with comments about the hotel, only positive is the location. Can't help with airport public transport as I got a transfer to hotel. However, I can recommend the hop on hop off bus. There are 2 lines (routes) you can travel on. The best way to see highlights of Barcelona. Enjoy your holiday and watch your handbag/wallet.
