I spent one-night as pre-cruise accommodation. Boy am I happy that it was just one night. While the hotel is centrally located and the continental breakfast fair enough, the following left a lot to be desired; 1) The Wi-fi does not work 2)The TV in the room is a model last seen 20 years ago and does not work 3)...

Hotel Ramblas is very well located at the Ramblas, close to the harbor. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately: this is not worth to be a 3-star hotel: the walls are very badly insulated: you could easily follow conversations of the neighbours. The back of the wardrobe felt-out, the door of the fuse-box was hanging loose,...The hotel is desperately in...

You can't beat the location of this hotel. As far as the room is concerned.....Our room was cramped, dark and hot. There was a vent through which somewhat cooler air flowed only when our room key was placed in a slot on the wall. The vent was located near the top of the wall so we would keep the armoire...

This was our 4th stay at this hotel and as on the previos occasions it was excellent. We had a great room overlooking La Rambla and the breakfast was more than adequate. This occasion was an overnight pre-cruise stay for which this hotel is perfect, close to all amenities. We will not hesitate in returning.

An hotel I wouldn't stay a second time. Nevertheless it is in the best place of Barcelona, close to all the tourist sites, on the Rambla near the Gothic quarter. If you just use it to sleep, go ahead. The breakfast is quite good.

We stayed in this hotel in October 2016. This was a pre-cruise stay and for this purpose was suitable. The location has its good and bad points, good because you can walk to most attractions bad because if you have a front facing room you can hear late night revellers. Our party of 3 booked 2 rooms a single and...

Uncontrolled entry of non-guests into hotel including dining room (September 2016). Handbag uplifted at breakfast on 4th day of visit (not just the first day). Great views in all directions from top floor room with terraced balcony. Bad smells in some areas in hotel (but smells common in other parts of Barcelona).

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
