Good location settled between Montjuic and Las Ramblas and short walk to the harbour. Also very close are 4 fast food restaurants and small convenience stores that I found handy because Barcelona can be expensive. I used the hotels website metro directions to get to the hotel from airport. Easy. Hotel room basic, but comfortable. Only issue was the noise....

We stayed there for 5 days. The location is good. La Ramblas is 10-15 minutes away walking. The Hotel is clean and the staff is freindly. There are many restaurants near within 5 minutes walking. We didn't ever feel unsafe even around midnight. I recommend the place across the street for drinks and dinner called Pasapalo. The food is good...

Hi, I truthfully wouldn't stay anywhere else in Barcelona (well, maybe if I had the money and decided to go five star). The Hotel Paral-lel is perfect for a city break. It is 10 minutes' walk into the main sites (the Old Town, Las Ramblas, etc) and five minutes until you hit the hill for Montjuic (pronounced 'Montjuique') and the...

Great location within walking distance to La Rambla, buses and the metro. We got the aerobus from the airport to La Espanya then metro green line L3. Reception staff friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a map. Good breakfast and wifi. Only issue was we heard some noise from outside the hotel but overall we enjoyed our stay and would...

A very good choice if you do not want to spend too much money for a hotel! Because Barcelona is all about exploring the city and not staying in the hotel! Staff spoke good English and always willing to help! Room on the small site but efficient. Clean and tidy. Request if possible a room looking the inner yard as...

The hotel was very well located. Nearby blai street was fantastic for eating, drinking, people watching. Was able to walk to gothic quarter and all around easily in half a day. The only time I took the underground ($1.80)really was when I went to camp nou stadium for the soccer match. Nice room with a big bathroom. Even with my second...

The local neighbourhood is safe but has a slight edge to it. That said it's not far from the city centre. The first thing about this hotel that leaves a positive impression is the staff: all staff are very welcoming and friendly, any time of day or night. The rooms are designed with nods to boutique hotel design but at...

I loved the location, not far from Rambla and metro station. Very clean. Very proficient staff, good English speaking reception guys , always ready to help. Very good breakfast, wide range of food and drinks. Safe box is included. Wi fi is good only in reception and public area. No wi fi in rooms. This is the only disappointment.

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
