A nice hotel well located. Rooms are rebuilt but soundproofing between room is a bit deficient. Breakfast is good. Located in the Poble Sec popular district, Hotel Parallel is close old city center (20 min walking) and the 57 bus will drive you directly to...More
The first thing that hits you as you walk in to the hotel is the fact that it doesn't seem like a 2 star hotel. It can easily pass as a 3-4 star hotel. The location is absolutely perfect as it is a 5-10 minute...More
I was very impressed with this place. I wasn't expecting much because it was a 2 star hotel, but it was in a great location. It was just short walk from everything. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to
this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
