Considered as part of Barcelona's cultural heritage in itself, this historic building dates from the 19th century and is situated in the city's ancient Gothic Quarter. The setting of the H10 Raco del Pi makes it ideal for exploring the narrow streets of the most atmospheric area of the city - the Gothic Quarter. Here you will find the Cathedral along with a wide range of shops, galleries and restaurants. Only 100 metres away is the vibrant Las Ramblas, and 300 metres away is the central Placa Catalunya. On arrival you will be greeted with a glass of cava, before continuing into the charming and traditional inner courtyard. The historic building has been brought up to date with features such as a glass-walled atrium and cooling parquet floors in each room.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel like valued guests. The invitation for a glass of cava was very welcome. Every member of staff from reception to the cleaners were friendly and always smiling. The hotel is in a great location with easy access for public transport, hop on hop off buses and local attractions. Staff on reception were very knowledgeable and helped us buy tickets for the attractions we wanted to see, gave us directions and recommendations for places to eat. Our room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The beds and pillows were perfect for us ensuring we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good but it was disappointing that they didnāt have any mushrooms during our stay and the butter was not to our taste as it tasted strange. The omelettes were great and the staff attentive. The coffee and pastries/cakes on an afternoon and early evening were a lovely touch and just what was needed after a busy day sightseeing. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again. Thank you for looking after us and making our stay memorable.

This hotel deserves 5 stars for its service, comfort and wonderful special touches, like the champagne welcome. I only came across this hotel by accident. I had a terrible situation occur when I arrived in Barcelona for my accommodations. I had booked months in advance with booking.com and updated my. Credit card expiry date prior to arrival. There was a system problem and the app kept saying I needed to update my card. I called twice to speak to a live person at booking.com. they assured me that my card was registered, valid and active. I asked them to confirm this with the property owner and I also messaged the property. They assured me I could pay upon arrival despite the system glitch. My reservation for three people in a two bedroom apartment in the Gothic Quarter was cancelled while I was flying to Barcelona. I was totally unaware. Add to this, the taxi driver from the airport would not take me directly to the apartment due to construction in LA Rambla area. I was forced to lug several suitcases around the Gothic Quarter trying to find the apartment. I stopped at two hotels, the first wasn't much help. Then I stopped at H10 Raco del Pi and my evening positively changed. Giuseppe at the front desk did a visual walk through of the streets using Google, let me keep my luggage stored there while I went in search of the apartment, only to discover my reservation was cancelled and now it was 11 pm. I learned that almost all hotels in the area were sold out, the few remaining rooms incredibly expensive and for only one person, not big enough for the family members who would join me the next day. Giuseppe was able to help me, had one vacant room due to a no show and at a reasonable rate. At least I had a place to sleep for the night. The next day Guiseppe had another twin room for two nights, enough to accommodate the family member arriving that day. The other family member cancelled, which was fortunate given the lack of rooms. He helped me search for another room for the last two nights of 5 nights before we would go to the cruise ship.
Giuseppe was my hero. All the staff were exceptional, helpful, kind and very considerate. The rooms were clean and quiet, no small feat in the Gothic Quarter given World Cup, Catalonia Days and other festivities.
There is a cute little inner courtyard where you can sit and sip a drink. Also a small breakfast/bar, lovely amenities.
As a result of this experience I will definitely stay at H10 again and will not hesitate to put my trust in H10 Raco del Pi to ensure I have a safe and trouble-free vacation. The staff are exceptional and the hotel is small yet lovely and so close to everything, easy walking. And there is a wonderful coffee shop 365 a few doors down for coffee and pastries in the morning.
Stay here and you will have a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Say hi to Guiseppe for me!

What a lovely little gem of a hotel! On arrival we were slightly early but for a small fee of ā¬12 per night we could have a room straight away as one of the upgraded rooms was available. We had a corner room with 2 baconettes and it was lovely! So glad we paid for this! We were greeted with a glass of cava which was delightful and then coffee and crossaints served daily between 1pm and 8pm free of charge! The hotel is in a great location in the gothic quarter, walking distance to all local sights and close enough to walk to the main square for the airport bus and tourist buses! Room was clean and tidy, beds comfy! We asked at reception for a kettle as they don't have them as standard and this wasn't a problem and we were able to keep it for our stay! We would highly recommend this hotel, it was safe, in a great location and we had a lovely time here!

The location in the old town, on a side street, in Barcelona was excellent. Easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go, both in the old part of the city and the new. And it was mostly quiet with the windows closed. Unfortunately, the rooms we were assigned, 105 and 107, looked nothing like the photos and in fact were both quite small, and dark. 105 had the refrigerator right near the window, which took up what little space was there for one suitcase. Fine for one person, too cramped for two. There wasnāt even a chair in either of the rooms, except for the one at the desk and it was inaccessible because we had to put one of the suitcases there. No place at all for two suitcases, so we had to completely unpack one of them and put everything away. Not really a practical thing for three days. Alicia at the front desk was the best - she had great suggestions for restaurants and tapas places, and was so friendly and helpful, whenever we saw her. The guys in the morning were much more interested in chatting among themselves than in helping us. We were there late March and the weather in Barcelona was about 65 degrees, really perfect for touring. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning in the room because it was not the right season, and the heat had also been turned off. That meant that there was no way to get air in this small, cramped space. And, although there was a window, it was not operable. The windows werenāt operable because we were on the first floor and they said it was for safety. We did not eat at the buffet so no comment on the food. However, coffee was not available for guests until 1 in the afternoon, for āteatimeā unless you ate the buffet which was pretty expensive. There were many nearby places for breakfast, much less expensive as well. Since this place is in Rick Steveās book, my sense is that the people who work here are just tired of Americans and donāt really want to interact much with us. The bathroom had a terrific shower with great water pressure, but a shelf or two is needed so people have a place to put their toiletries.

Dear Guest: Thanks for giving us your opinion. First of all, we are glad that you enjoyed our central location and we thank you for your kind words about Alicia from the reception team. Secondly, we are sorry that the hotel and the rooms assigned were not to your liking. Thirdly, we have been working with the Rick Steves guide for 21 years and the US clients are the majority of our clients. Your sensation is not correct. We love the American clients and if they continue to visit us it will be because we treat them correctly and properly and they like the hotel. Please don't say we're tired of them. We are delighted with them. Greetings.

The 2 stars is for the hospitable staff we dealt with and the location being so central. The rooms are very basic and below average. We booked a balcony room and a were put in 104. The bathroom is very small, the beds are very small, the pillows are rock solid and the location of our room meant it was really noisy at night. The first night we had one of the worst sleeps we ever had between the noise, the pillow and my husband falling off the bed! On day 2 I noticed the room opposite us (room 101) was a twin room with much bigger beds and a bigger bathroom. It was a downgrade but we asked to move and really happy we did! Even though it was a downgrade we werenāt refunded for any price difference as we were told āyou wanted to moveā. Every day our key card stopped working, weād have to go to reception to change them, they said itās because our phones interfered with the technology but we kept our key cards separate! Then we were told our key card was only being registered per day but we had a 6 night stay! Wouldnāt stay here again.

Stayed 6 nights to tour Barcelona on the last leg of a 2.5 week trip through Spain. The location is as advertised - in the heart of hustle and bustle of the Gothic Quarter, but perfectly 'hidden' on one the many narrow streets with an unassuming facade. It was the perfect setup to access all the top sites by foot, and easy to take breaks back at the room, with all the comforts of a comfortable double bed, clean bathroom and good ventilation. We stayed in one of the attic rooms on the 4th floor which gave an even more secluded feeling. This hotel does not have the amenities of other H10 hotels in Spain (e.g, no rooftop terrace, pool, gym), due to the smaller size of the property. Those things were not important to us. What was exceptional is the helpful staff, most notable Alvaro who gave us helpful tip for tapas spots and THE place to get the best chocolates in Spain (right on the same street).

We loved this hotel. It's perfectly located, just off La Rambla, and close to Metro stations. Check-in was quick and easy - Al was friendly and efficient, and told us everything we needed to know. Through our stay we asked questions about the local area, the Metro system and where to eat, and the staff were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Our room, like the rest of the hotel was clean, modern and cool. The beds were very comfortable too. The are no tea- making facilities in the rooms but complimentary tea, coffee and pastries are available (just help yourself) and there's a lovely courtyard on the first floor to sit out. We used the laundry service (just for a couple of items) which was reasonably priced and very efficient. The breakfast area is clean and bright. There was plenty to eat, a good choice of high quality pastries, cereals, cheeses, fruit etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would certainly recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Barcelona for a Christmas city break travelling with Jet2.
Location: Really great location, about a 10-15 minute walk from the last aerobus (airport bus) stop, down a lovely street in the gothic quarter that is fairly quiet in the evening. Being so central, it meant we could pop back to the hotel throughout the day if we needed to drop off any purchases or get a coat as it cooled down in the evening. About an 8 minute walk to the closest metro station (Liceu).
Staff: All staff were very pleasant and helpful, always greeting us as we walked through reception. Check in was easy, we were asked whether we wanted a room with a shower or bath as there were lots of rooms free; we said we didnāt mind as long as there was a shower. I just asked for the nicest room they had available and we were given room 403 (more on this later). We asked for recommendations for dinner on our last night and were given a very thorough recommendation that came with a free glass of Cava on arrival at MesĆ³n Jesus which is a short walk away.
Hotel: The hotel is very clean and tidy, there are some parts that seem really modern and then some parts seem a little dated but it is still nice and definitely functional. There is a lift and a sun terrace, as well as complimentary tea and coffee for guests during the day, but no bar.
Room: This part was a little disappointing, we were excited about being on the 4th floor (room 403) but when we let ourself in found that there was no proper window and instead a small window at floor level and 2 skylights. It didnāt look at all like the rooms in the advertised pictures, and I wish I had taken photos but completely forgot. This wasnāt enough of an issue for us to complain about, just a little disappointing. The room was perfectly functional and modern though, and we were comfortable as we didnāt spend much time in there. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of space in the wardrobe. The bathroom was clean with plenty of room, and lots of toiletries and complimentary bits you might need. One thing to note (and I donāt know if this is the same for all rooms) is that the walls are quite thin and the water system is quite loud, so we were woken up by our neighbours running a bath at 5:30 in the morning.
Breakfast: The breakfast had a good continental selection of bread, pastries, meats and cheese, vegetables and fruit, yoghurt and cereals. You could also have eggs scrambled, fried or an omelette and bacon cooked fresh. We ate this on the first day but chose to eat out for the rest of our stay so that we could experience more of Barcelona. The breakfast restaurant is quite small and cramped but the waitress was very attentive and efficient so it wasnāt a problem.
Overall: We enjoyed our time in Barcelona and at this hotel, and would stay again but probably request a different room.

This hotel was recommended to us by friends. We loved our stay here! The staff were very attentive and kind. They gave us plenty of great recommendations for restaurants. They called us taxis when needed. They even stored our luggage for free since we arrived to the hotel earlier then check in coming from a cruise ship early in the morning. This hotel was so convenient to the train station, la rambla, great restaurants and cafes and a short walk to the hop on hop off bus stop.

We stayed 3 nights pre cruise at H10 Raco del Pi. Our stay was WONDERFUL. The location is perfect, close to Las Ramblas, shops, restaurants and anything you need and still quiet. We booked the twin rooms with balconies (Rooms 103 & 303). Room 103 is right off the interior terrace - very convenient and Room 303 had the walk in shower. Everything was clean and spotless! Laia and Alvaro at the reception desk were always smiling and helpful with the best suggestions for local restaurants. Our stay included a very substantial breakfast with cooked eggs and bacon, assorted cereals, pastries, fruit and even mimosas. Mamen, the breakfast manager, made us felt like we were guests in her home. Special Note: The hotel is located on a pedestrian street and normal traffic is not permitted; however, if the hotel secures a taxi or you use Welcome Pick Ups or Barcelona Day Tours they have the permits and will pick you up and drop you right at the door. Normal taxis will only drop you at cross streets or on Las Ramblas. Even then it is a very short walk to the hotel. We would not hesitate to stay at H10 Raco del Pi again!

We found the area to be very safe. Well lit walkways, lots of bars and restaurants open late, and lots of foot traffic well after dark The hotel is in a very populated and popular area. Plus, this hotel has someone on the desk 24/7, unlike many hotels today. I suggest getting their direct number stored in your phone and call with any questions or concerns. They are incredibly helpful.

Taxi drops you off less than 5 mins away & the driver who spoke limited English gave us directions. If your luggage has wheels the area is pedestrianised so easy to pull cases. It really wasnāt difficult to get to or find.
