We stayed here for five nights. The hotel was clean and the room looked like an average 3 star hotel room. We opted not to have breakfast- it cost 15 euros. We ate breakfast- coffee and croissant- at cafe across the road. It cost 6 euros for two people. The hotel is in a good location, near to the metro...

I had read that the hotel was near a construction site, and sadly enough, it's true. But I was happy when I found out that my room was not facing teh construction site, because I really wanted to sleep in on saturday morning. Unfortunately, the cleaning ladies had a different idea. At 8 am, they started moving furniture around, making...

I found a good deal via Travel Zoo that I booked on the Onix Fira hotel website which said we'd have our choice of either a queen or a king (we opted for king when I booked on the Onix Fira website) and a 'relaxation kit' with 'bath salts and more'. All sounded very lovely and we were looking forward...

Central, easily accessible, good breakfast! Room was comfortable and sizeable, although it was located immediately next to the lift and at times was a bit noisy. Also there is a construction site just outside the main entrance, which meant we had to get up at 7.45am, but this was quite within our plan anyway!

One would think that the hotel would really appriciated the fact that travellers who are taking the effort to pass the muddy constructionsite (next to Onix Fiera already for years they are reshaping an arena to a shopping-mall) to help this hotel through those difficult times. But no. The nextdoor work-in-progress gives quite some noise, the beds lost during the...

On the last day of stay and particularly when leaving it, the receptionist has incurred an extremely high price for minibar use. Each day we used couple of beer, water and chocolate, which would make it in total 17 euro maximum per day. However, when the receptionist provided a bill for used stuff in a minibar, it was obvious that...

Just one block from Plaza Espanya (underground station) and just 2 stations from the Train Station Barcelona Sants, from airport there is a bus that crosses just in the corner. From the train station I suggest walking (less than 10 min) instead of the underground; is better if you are carrying luggage because the underground doesn’t have electric stairs or...

The hotel is one block from Placa Espanya, with connections to everywhere. It was an extremely good value; the excellent rate includes breakfast and free parking underground (which we didn't use -- we used public transportation). The area is safe and quiet. Hotel was a bit hard to get into due to construction across the street (maybe this is why...

The only good thing about this hotel is it's location... -On the hotel site they claim that there is a safe box in the room, which there is but doesn't work and the receptionist simply didn't care enough to explain anything, he kept repeating "It is out of order" and nothing else. -Also, on the website they say that there...

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The rooms were all very large but well equipped with high quality furnishings and the same can also be said for the communal areas. The level of cleanliness and attentiveness of staff were both great. My only criticism would be that the breakfast selection was very limited although adequate. The hotel is located minutes...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
