The place is very beautiful and ideally located. However there are some drawbacks like the lack of tick curtains and the bad sound-proofing. In the end we still really enjoyed the place as it is perfectly clean, ideally located and we were friendly welcomed.

Carla was very kind and gave us help for transports, to localise the bus stops. Thanks a lot. Our room, giving onto the street, was very noisy. no sound proof windows. ineffective shutters no black out curtains. A pleasant roof. satisfying Breakfast.

A very comfortable and friendly, warm place to stay in Barcelona and staff were wonderful - polite and helpful with suggestions as to the area. It was a bit more like a hostel which I was not expecting - shared, communal kitchen where you wash up, shared tea and coffee facilities, hairdryers in the hallway and what thought was an...

Karla was super host to welcome us, talk through the details and giving excellent suggestions. I was travelling with my dear mom and we truly enjoyed the great breakfasts with Karla and other guests. The Casa Maca itself is truly beautiful, very clean and authentic place. I truly recommend anyone who prefers local touch and authenticity to stay with them:)...

We were met by a really nice girl who gave us a lot of pointers and tips on what to see and where to eat. We didn't see her again but I wanted to tell her that we loved the Grácia tip, we walked around and ate there and we absolutely loved it. The room was great, clean and comfortable....

Stayed here for 2 nights with husband. Bit difficult to locate as not a sign outside, only at the side of a large wooden door on street. Nice little guest house although photos on website look better than actually is. Smelled lovely as you walked in as candles burning all the time. Saying that, our room was lovely with shutters...

The room was good and breakfast was also good. My friend and I had a really great time here. And everything is just near here. They also put some information about the city in public place. The only inconvenient thing is that you can't smoke in the room.

I had a lovely stay at Casa Maca. I found the place and my room to be charming, clean and very private. The girls in charge are really friendly and helpful, and for the price you can't beat that location: only 3 blocks from the Paseo de Gracia and La Pedrera! I will definitely stay there on my next trip...

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
