As a frequent visitor to Barcelona it has taken me years to find a satisfactory hotel. Well this is it. Right in the centre of the city, lovely hotel, rooms are great, very clean . Has a nice lounge if you need a meeting or...More
Great location on plaza catalunya and surprisingly quiet given this. However the rooms were strange for a couple of reasons. Firstly no heating only aircon - no problem most of the year but Barcelona I winter can be cold at night and the beds dont...More
We found this hotel on our own as we had planned a trip to Europe and my husband and I couldn't agree on a hotel for Barcelona. I picked a charming old hotel and he thought the rooms were way too small, and he picked...More
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for the New Year, perfect situation in the heart of Barcelona on the Catalunya Place,
reduction for the car park below the place,
nice rooms (though small), very quiet (!) despite the central situation but between the...More
Right in the city center, few blocks from Casa Batlo and ramblas, in the heart of Barcellona. Nice rooms, good forniture. Beds not very comfortable.
Breakfast ridiculously expensive, better you go in the very close cafe Zurich.
I recommend this hotel.

Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day
forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

The double we had pre-booked on the top floor was not big enough for two people. Not sure about some of the other "double" rooms, but the triple we ended up in was plenty big enough with a separate sofa bed that would suit you. As already mentioned by others, check with the hotel. There are only 4 triples, each with own patio. On the same floor as breakfast room. Very quiet.
