I spent there 3 nights and everything was perfect: the room was clean, bathroom tidy, the clerk polite and very helpful, free wi-fi... and although situated right a few meters from the Rambla and the Metro station (Liceu), very quiet and no noise at all. I'll definitely return.

Admittedly I stayed here during Mobile World Congress when hotel room rates sky rocket but at £200+ per night this is daylight robbery. It is at best a good 2 star not a 3 star and the rooms and bathrooms are very very basic. Simple things like shampoo are not replaced during your stay and there are no irons/iron boards...

This hotel known by two names - Sant Augusti and San Augustin is in a great location just off La Ramblas and about in the middle of this famous street. Extremely clean and well modernised. Reception is a pleasant place to relax and the staff helpful. The bedrooms are very clean, modern and comfortable with a reasonable amount of space....

The Hotel Sant Agusti is in the perfect location in the Heart of Barcelona. Located in a side street just off la rambla it is as near to the bright lights of Barcelona as you could want but being just off the main street it is still nice and quiet. We were greeted warmly by the hotel reception and given...

A great location, At the end of the road just on La Rambla, is the underground station of Liceu. You are a 10 min walk down to the port area. The rooms were a little small, but big enough room for a good double bed, the bathroom was clean, it was a little cold in the room at night, I...

My impressions were consistant with the other reviewers. We loved being close to Las Ramblas but being set back one block made things more quiet. When we checked in, we had a problem with our room and the two guys on the front desk were just great taking us to see a few rooms and letting us pick the one...

Pros - handy location just off La Rambla. Impressive foyer. Next door to nice restaurant Rita Blue with good food and friendly staff. Situated on a pleasant square. Cons - surly, bordering on hostile, reception staff who mutter to themselves in spanish. No "welcome to Barcelona" or even a smile. Tiny, spartan room, no mini bar, restaurant only open for...

Nice overall. I have requested a room with balcony if possible and surprisingly we got our request. Room is clean. Breakfast is ok but good enough to fill us up for the morning. Location is very convenient. Easy to go out and shop around and bring your stuff back to the hotel within 10 mins walk. Other reviewers were right....

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
