We paid for a room with breakfest where the price is higher with 20 euro per night expecting to have what we saw in the picture from their site. Due to covid they resume only to croissints and coffee, some creals with milk and small sweets. They took off what is more important from a breakfast like eggs (not even boiled eggs), different salami, chorizo, small sausages, cheese etc. They could have made or buy some sandwhiches (even in this period you can by them from a restaurant or market) or just charges us less. We are still expecting our money back for the breakfest we didn't have. This is a photo of what should we have.

What I loved most was how they surprised me with a triple room despite me paying for a double, because they knew we'd be 1 adult + 2 small kids (I'd called in advance to make sure that's OK for a double, as a big double bed is enough for us 3 for couple of nights)... probably also because it was available, but they were amazing.

Breakfast is good enough for the price, staff super friendly, reception open non-stop, and the location is great to reach the beach as well as Placa de Catalunya (and further walking distance to Casa Batllo and Milla).

Happy to return anytime!

Two night stay on Ramblas in this 2 Star Hotel was ideal for viewing life on Barcelona’s iconic street. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was a short walk from two nearby metro stations and a 10 minute walk to the Placa Catalunya where the airport buses start from. The room was adequate with bath and shower and USB ports for charging our devices.Breakfast was a varied buffet and plentiful.

My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights at Cuartro Naciones. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room and the bathroom were spacious and had a balcony overlooking La Rambla. With the sliding door closed, there was very little noise at night. There is air conditioning, so even in summer, it will be pleassant. Our bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was quite spaciouos. There is an elevator, as well. The breakfast was typical of most European continental breakfasts. This hotel is only a short walk from Placa Real and the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. So, it was easy to get to restaurants and bars, and shopping. A taxi stand is right outside for longer ventures. We would certainly stay there again and can confidently recommend it to other travelers.

A fantastic understated hidden gem in Barcelona. The service was incredible because of how kind, helpful and chilled the attendants were. The check in and out times (1200) were fantastic and the free daily breakfasts were delicious with fresh fruits, breads and a variety of cooked items.
Even though the room was 'basic'- this photo is quite an old photo, it was perfectly clean and very quiet (even though it is on the main street). Being on the main street made everything I wanted to do perfectly accessible e.g. lanes and lanes of culture right from the door step, all types of public transport, great food and coffee, Big Red Bus, shopping. I cannot recommend this hotel and the service enough! Many thanks! Kimberley

We stayed here for 1 night prior to joining a cruise. On check in the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a quadruple room, the room was on the first floor, there is a lift which will fit 1 person plus luggage or probably up to 4 people. Our room was large and spacious, 4 single beds, desk, tv, safe and clothes hanging space if needed. Separate bathroom with a shower over the bath. All very clean and tidy.
Our room also had a small balcony which overlooked Las Ramblas which was lovely, 2 seats, great to be able to sit and watch the world go by!
The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet considering we were on the main thoroughfare.
Breakfast was free and a buffet style. There was plenty of choice, hot and cold options, good selection of drinks as well and regularly restocked by the staff.
There is a lounge where you can access the internet if needed and a printer is also available.
We were able to get a taxi from directly outside the hotel and they seem plentiful.
We were really pleased with our short stay here and would recommend this hotel.

May not be the grandest hotel in Barcelona, but for a short break in that city provides a clean room with decent en-suite in what many might consider the ideal location. Right on La Rambla, surrounded by street cafe's and restaurants yet priced very reasonably. Reception staff were attentive, friendly and extremely helpful to us in acquiring a taxi outside on our departure.
Breakfast provided was as substantial as you wanted to make it, no problems finding a table even with the hotel full, and staff on hand re-filling the buffet as necessary. On request we had a quiet room at the rear of the hotel where we heard no street noise whatsoever.
Would not hesitate to use again.

I was travelling solo first time and wanted to stay central. I was a little nervous but as soon as I turned up to the hotel, I was very comfortable.

They let me check in early so I could leave my bags and explore. The rooms are pretty standard and that’s fine when you’re out all day. It was very clean, and your room is cleaned every day. It was also very quiet in my room, even at the weekend where La Ramblas is packed.

The breakfast is your usual continental mix of ham, cheese, eggs, croissants, fruits. Nothing fancy but very balanced and very helpful when you’re on a budget and need to fill up. The guy looking after breakfast always brought coffee and juice to my table, even though it’s all self service. I believe most other places on La Rambla don’t provide this.

Best of all, it’s very very central. You can easily hop on the metro to anywhere very speedily. It’s round the corner from Placa Reial which is a beautiful dining and entertainment square, with the Gothic Quarter just a couple more minutes away.

Fantastic.

The staff were well spoken, polite and helpful at all times. You can’t go wrong.

My family planned to visit Barcelona for two days, and we booked two night in this hotel. Because of the fog our flight was canceled and we contacted hotel to change dates, because we chose non refundable reservation. They refuse to change reservation days, so they charge full amount. We didnt ask for money return, only changing dates, but they refused to do that. I am very disapointed.

This is a great hotel for Barcelona. It is right on La Rambla, a major pedestrian promenade. Staff were very helpful (even moved our stored luggage into our room before we returned). Breakfast had lots of options. Simple room, but clean and practical. There was also a nice lounge for eating or sitting.

I think you will find the hotel location to be very convenient to everything you could possibly need. A grocery store around the corner, Museums nearby, tons of restaurants, souvenir shops, etc. All within easy walking distance.

I agree that doing it with luggage would be unpleasant. The taxi stand is right outside the door of the hotel and would make your life much easier. We found taxis in Barcelona to be very dependable.
