My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week-long trip to Barcelona... the rooms were on the small side and no-frills, but it was impeccably clean and perfect for us, since we were planning out being out exploring most of the day/night and not planning on spending a ton of time in the room (We're in our late twenties, and...

Hostel itself was clean, though if you stay in your room later than 11 am the cleaner will not come. There are no phones and the closest pay phone is 3 blocks . Most of the staff was nice. Overall, would consider going again.

We were three friends traveling together, and had ordered a triple room with balcony at Hostal Girona. Unfortunately, there was only one set of keys and no opportunity to leave the keys at the reception. So the three of us had to stick together every day, occasionally using our foreign cell phones to make appointments. Also, the triple room turned...

The Hostal Girona consists of 3 apartments with a striking traditional décor converted into rooms for guests on the 1st and 2nd floor of an old building. (There is a beautiful old fashioned elevator). I had a spacious room with an attached shower, a desk, wash basin and a television. The toilets were down the corridor. The room also had...

Stayed 5 days and had a perfect stay. Nice and peaceful. Spacious room, excellent small shower high pressure and hot water. Beautiful authentic decor makes you feel like living in a house with locals. Cental location makes it a perfect budget friendly place to stay. Would stay again.

The Hotel is not a standard Hotel, It has a reception only, there is no room service, it has a small hall in the entrance, it is in the 2nd floor of an old building. You should first see in google map the entrance of the building so that you know what you are looking for as there is no...

Great décor, quite stylish for an older style hostel, I had a single room with shared bathroom and toilet down the hall. All very clean, and comfortable. The room had a fan, flat screen tv (thought I couldn’t get a signal), and wardrobe. Hand basin in room. Good location, you can walk to Erquinanone metro in about 5 minutes, or...

The place was fairly quiet (especially when the adjacent rooms were empty) and very clean--no trace of a bed-bugs. Although the ceilings were very high and there was a glassed-in porch off the room, we barely had enough space to walk around the double bed. We kept our bags on the floor and there were no convenient places to put...

Don't look for luxury here - bring your own shampoo/shower gel etc. - room we had was spacious and very clean. If you like quirky - lots of character, antique furniture, an impressive stone staircase and an old caged lift - then you would enjoy your stay here - I did. Good location, central but still a quiet area.

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
