The quality price ratio is way off here. We mainly booked this place due to the photos of the bed. So many Barcelona hotels look to have terrible beds. The bed didn't disappoint. It was really nice. But apart from that and the friendly staff that's all the positives. The room was small. Each room has a sort of porch...

This hotel is exceptional and deserves it's 4 star rating. Our room was spacious and cleverly laid out with a lovely little balcony area over-looking the streets below. The cocktail bar on the roof is excellent and we enjoyed an evening having drinks while watching an amazing storm on our first evening. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and bars...

I took a group of artists to Barcelona where we stayed at Hotel Cram at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of two and a half weeks in Spain. The hotel staff were fabulous, especially Sean and Xavier. Very helpful, polite and accommodating. The rooms were clean, good size for Europe. They have limited rooms with two...

This hotel was in a great position as long as you are prepared to enjoy walking round Barcelona. We enjoyed a brisk 30minute walk to the Sagrada Familiar and a stroll to the Ramblas. The staff were friendly and helpful offering personal suggestions for meals and trips out. Great roof top restaurant for an excellent breakfast which allowed you to...

We were originally staying in The Mirror but due to unforeseen circumstances they had to move us to this hotel which is apart of the same chain, they even paid for our taxi there. As we were super early we were just expecting to drop our bags off but we were greeted by the loveliest gentleman (wish I'd taken his...

My husband and I stayed at the Cram hotel back in 2007, and it was then very beautiful and neat. The room was modern, clean and hip. The breakfast and service itself were good too. We reserved the room using Tablet.com.

I stayed at the Hotel Cram with a group of 16 others. I must say the staff was great...they treated each and every one of us with kind attention. It was apparent that they genuinely cared that we were taken care of and had a good stay. Especially Sean. The hotel is nice and in a great location. The rooms...

This is one of the small luxury hotels of the world but thankfully without any pomposity. From the moment of check in, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was very modern and well furnished and didn't appear run down as described in other reviews. The bed was super-comfortable and the room had its own air conditioning which...

Quiet , modern hotel, very friendly staff. Located just close enough from the touristic action but not in the middle. A well deserved spot surrounded by good restaurants, cheaper parking spots and steps fron La Rambla , plaza catalunya , barrio gotico etc.. Loved the terrace bar which small but cozy and not that crowded. Rooms are very modern and...

Lovely hotel, quite well situated. Reception staff were extremely good - very pleasant and most helpful. Hotel room was comfortable and breakfast was very good. Perhaps the sound-proofing internally was not quite up to scratch - or were my neighbours particularly noisy?

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Cram is situated in the middle of the Example district of Barcelona very close to the Paseo de Gracia, Rambla de Cataluna, Plaza de Cataluna and the Ramblas.Surrounded by the cities most emblematic architecture, the hotel fits perfectly into this rich legacy. The modernist style facade dates back to 1892, and has a definite majestic elegance. The 67 rooms are planned to offer maximum comfort, they stand out warm, elegant, avant-garde aesthetic, their highly functional design and their high-tech equipment. The restaurant Angle Barcelona, 1* Michelin, is moving to Hotel Cram and will be opening its doors on June 2013, with the same philosophy and willingness to bring customers a dining experience which is sure to tantalise each one of their senses. If ABaC is the ultimate expression of Jordi Cruz' cuisine, l'Angle seeks to liven up tradition with innovative touches, high quality products and dishes altogether different from those created in the kitchens of ABaC.Attentive, warm and friendly service with common goals: to clearly convey the messages hidden in the actual recipes and define our understanding of gastronomy every day, based on memory, creativity and the best ingredients. The redesign of event and meeting rooms, whose capacities ranges from 2-70 people, placed special emphasis on enhancing light through integrated stained glass windows. The Anemos Terrace Bar, located on the 7th floor with panoramic views of Barcelona, offers a breakfast buffet from 07:00 to 11:00. It later reopens from 12.00 Am until 12.00 Pm, serving drinks, appetizers, tapas and 'informal cuisine' uninterruptedly throughout the day. The new menu offers little snapshots of the creative style of Chef Jordi Cruz. ... more   less
