The hotel is very centrally located, and is immaculately clean. The staff are very helpful. Our room was small, but useful and comfortable. The vending machines are reasonably priced, and there is a cute bakery called Dori Dori, which is very cheap and tasty next door. There is a TV in the lobby, which is sometimes too loud, and we...

The best of this stay, was the attention from personnel and the perfect location, as it is at 200 meters from the Plaza Cataluña. Besides that, I didn´t like it. Rooms are very small and in poor conditions. Extremely small bathrooms with old fixtures. Very noisy! The air conditioning didn´t work well. I do not recommend this hotel and the...

If you just need a bed and a shower then this hotel is fine. Location is excellent, close to Pl Catalunya and is kept very clean and is small and secure, but don't expect any extras whatsoever. You will even be charged to use the safe in your room! Staff answered our questions in a perfunctory manner but were very...

On arriving at the Hotel by taxi (which had trouble finding it) we carried our luggage along a badly lit covered passageway, up a flight of stairs to the lift. The lift took us up one floor where we had to turn right and press a bell for the door to the reception to be opened. We signed in and...

This hotel is in a good location for a quick walk to the Plaza Cataluyna. I found some of the staff to be quite friendly and helpful. Besides that, I was happy to leave this hotel after 5 nights. The guest rooms are located near the entrance door and main desk. That means constant noise. You hear whenever someone rings...

Stayed 4 nights in Hotel Pelayo with friend. 2 nights in a room down the hall from the reception. Small, quiet and clean. Changed to a bigger 3 bed room for the last two nights. More noisy as it faced the street, but still ok. Would recommend this hotel to visitors to Barcelona who wants a good hotel for a...

We just needed a bed for the night. This hotel offered a great location for old town and metro stations, very helpful and friendly staff, good value for money. Easy to find bars, restaurants, cafes nearby.

Hotel in the center of barcelona. Excellent location. Prices are very convenient. There is no pssibility to have breakfast in hotel but it's not a problem, the hotel is surrounded with bars nearly. For sure we will come back again.

If location and price are the things you are looking for when choosing a hotel, this is the place, just off La Rambla and Placa Catalunya, nothing fancy but perfect, clean, Juliet balcony or a window to the courtyard, without breakfast, but plenty of cafes and bakeries nearby for that, free WiFi, courteous staff, would stay again

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
