This was a modern, clean and very well located hotel, but not 4 stars. There was lobby noise on the first floor (as most corridors on each floor seem to be alongside a central open space) and a questionable 'view' onto a cigarette strewn roof right in front of the window from room 104. Go for the front, or a...

It seems every tourist city has to have a famous thoroughfare. Whether that's Oxford Street in London, Les champs d, Elysee in Paris or Times Square in New York these routes are designed to funnel in tourists, part them from their money and send them out the other end feeling somewhat entertained, a little grubby and ever so slightly used....

Last year I booked this hotel (7days) from booking.com. One month before the arrival date my father was ill and I realized that I will not be able to go at specified dates. Tried to contact booking.com to change the dates since he was dying and they informed me that the manager refused to do it. Than the manager decided...

Hotel is ideally located in Ramblas very near to the port and Colombo taxi station... It's easy to walk around. The rooms are clean but a little smelly. Reception staff is very polite and helpful but the room is surely overpriced. I expect more from a hotel at that price... And don't forget the noise from the street that will...

Stayed in this hotel in early November Pros: On las rambla u enjoy the hustle bustle any time. Easy accessible via metro taxi Nearest to beach and other attractions Nice clean rooms. Helpful reception Cons: Breakfast not included in rent and cost around €9/person and with little option even it was buffet breakfast. The toilet doors have no locks and...

We spent 3 nights in this hotel, it's close (5min walk) to the fashion stores, food markets and street restaurants (don't go to the tourist restaurants unless you want to pay 80 euro for non fresh and not decent meal). If you're heavy shopper you might find it uncomfortable to spend 10 min walk to the shops, but it's really...

Small, simple hotel in the best location in Barcelna. You can walk almost anywhere you want to visit from Segrada Familia to the harbor. Beautiful view of Ramblas area. Of course, being in the middle of all the action means there might be a little street noise ( especially on weekends and holidays). However, nothing earplugs or sound machine won't...

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
